Chapter #28

Aerith hides Tifa

    by: Kooplan Author IconMail Icon
Aerith gulped as Cloud re-emerged from behind the tent flaps. The spiky blond-haired man appeared even more daunting then before, now that the tiny flower girl was essentially on her own. Tifa had gotten Aerith into plenty of trouble with the "mini" materia, but Aerith still felt safer with an equally small girlfriend at her side. However, circumstances being what they were, Tifa had shrunk herself far too tiny to help Aerith, who was still small herself. And so, Cloud's mere presence loomed literally over the shrunken brunette's head, and felt more powerful.

"What are you doing..? We should hide..!" Tifa squeaked up to her much larger, yet still tiny, friend from within her hand. All of her instincts told her to flee from the massive giant that was Cloud. She wished she was still her full height. Neither she nor Aerith would have ended up in this awful situation had she never used the mini materia in the first place.

To Tifa, who had shrunken not just once, but twice, Cloud was beyond gigantic. Aerith, who was still only a few inches tall, appeared from Tifa's new, worm's-eye perspective to be as huge as Cloud had been back when Tifa was her previous height. Now, Cloud had easily magnified in Tifa's eyes to the point where he had to be at least 3000 ft. tall, far taller than even Shinra HQ's main building.

"I'm staying right here." Aerith said, sounding determined. She didn't bother to look down to Tifa in her hand, instead remaining standing straight and as tall as she could at her few inches of height. Cloud had not changed at all from Aerith's point of view. However, her perspective of him certainly did. "I'm tired of running around like this. He's going to change us back!"

"B-But..." Tifa said softly, unsure of how this plan would unfold. She shared the sentiment of the flower giantess above her, but did not think it was going to be so easy. Cloud was not acting like himself right now, for some reason. Tifa worried to think what might become of her and Aerith since they were currently so vulnerable.

"Don't worry, Tifa. Just leave the talking to me!" Aerith giggled, flashing a quick wink down to her even more diminutive friend. Tifa swallowed, blushing a bit, but nodded and decided to trust in Aerith.

"Okay, I'll trust you." Tifa yelled so her tinier voice could be heard by the taller shrunken girl. "Please, hide me, just in case."

"Oh yes, of course." Aerith smiled down at teeny tiny Tifa, gently lowering her to the surface of the table. Tifa was hesitant to leave Aerith's side, but then the brunette explained, "I think you're too small for Cloud to see, and if something goes wrong I need you to escape and try to get the attention of the others, okay?"

"Right, good thinking." Tifa nodded, climbing down from the hand of Aerith, who nodded back with a smile and rose back up to her full height of several inches tall. Tifa gulped, feeling smaller then ever just from seeing how giantess-like this flower girl was to her, not to mention the even larger jars and objects scattered about the table, of which even the smallest towered over poor Tifa.

Off in the distance, Cloud was busy looking around for something. He seemed to notice the jar he'd stuffed Tifa and Aerith in was ajar, and his shrunken girls had escaped. There weren't that many places for them to go inside the tent, but Cloud had been checking everywhere. Lucky for the two tiny girls, Cloud choose the table for the last place to look.

Each step of the giant shook the table Tifa was on, causing her large, exposed breasts to bounce. She paid it no mind, however. Nobody but Aerith would likely be able to really ogle at her body, even if they knew she was there, she would look more like a tiny indistinguishable speck than the beautiful woman she truly was. It made her feel useless, but at the same time comforted her in knowing that being micro-sized would help her get around undetected. However, Tifa truly hoped this plan of Aerith's would work out, and they could both get some size back.

"There you are." Cloud spoke, looking down at the table where Aerith stood. It didn't seem to bother him that the shrunken girl had escaped from the jar he'd left her and Tifa in. Somehow, his tone seemed to imply that he was expecting them to break free from their tiny prison. "Where's Tifa?"

"That's enough, Cloud! We want you to stop acting all crazy and make us both big again right now!" Aerith shouted, hands on her hips as she tried to sound as serious as she could. However, being shrunken had made her voice considerably more high-pitched and squeakier. Any attempts she managed to make herself appear as if being on equal footing with the normal-sized Cloud were pointless. Aerith was simply too small to fear, too humorous to hear, and too naked to take seriously.

"Hmph." Cloud scoffed at Aerith's demands, not giving even an inkling to thinking about reversing the shrinking spell cast on both her and Tifa. Without warning, he reached down and grabbed the tiny brunette flower girl into his hand, curling his fingers around her downsized body to keep her trapped within his fist.

"Aerith!" Tifa cried from down below on the table, reaching out emphatically as if she could somehow help poor Aerith from being so cruelly taken. All she could do was watch.

"N-No, let me go, you big brute!" Aerith screamed, immediately trying to fight off Cloud's massive digits by hitting them with her tiny fists, but of course she was far too small and weak to do anything beyond mildly tickling him.

"Enough." Cloud told her coldly, silencing her without even trying just by virtue of how much louder and commanding his voice naturally was over hers. She whimpered in his hand. Cloud gave an icy, yet also expressionless glare, down to the downsized young woman.

"Cloud, please... listen to me..." Aerith begged, feeling very afraid and confused at how things could have gone so badly so quickly. She was glad she'd let Tifa go down on the table. Such guilt over dragging her bite-sized best friend into this encounter with the giant Cloud would have surely eaten at her.

"Tell me where Tifa is." Cloud demanded to know, despite not asking it as a question. It was obvious he wasn't in the mood for games anymore. Something in his very core had changed since the last time the girls had seen him. He was already acting strangely before, but this was a whole different level of oddness for the spiky-haired blonde man.

"Tifa left!" Aerith lied.

"What?" Cloud looked shocked by the tiny girl's answer. His glare got more angry, and he looked around on the ground for any signs of a tiny Tifa he might have missed.

"You're too late! She couldn't take what you've become, so she ran away!" Aerith doubled down on her lie, coming up with the tall tale on the fly. She hoped to confuse Cloud.

"You're lying." Cloud shook his head, scoffing again at the notion that Tifa would leave him. Suddenly, he groaned in pain, reeling in place as he stood. His cries pierced both Aerith and Tifa's tiny ears, as he grabbed his head with his free hand and began panting. Clearly, he was in pain.

"No, it's true! I stayed behind because I thought I could reason with you, Cloud! Please, Cloud, don't do this to us! We don't want to be small any more, just let us use the materia to grow back to normal!" Aerith pleaded. She was confused by Cloud's reaction, and still angry with him for all he'd done to her and Tifa. Yet, she managed to keep calm and speak gently her request.

Go get him, Aerith! You're getting through to him! Tifa cheered on the shrunken brunette in her head, pumping her fist in the air. She felt bad and worried for Cloud, not sure what he was going through right now. From his reactions, it didn't seem normal.

"Cloud, let us help you! If you grow us back, Tifa and I can help you! Please, you must understand that!" Aerith pleaded her case some more, hoping to finally get through to Cloud. She'd come to pretty much the same conclusion that Tifa did, and was sure that she'd be able to make him see the light of reason...
