Island Bound

"Let's just say that there is a temple on the island that might help us with our food shortage program," Nobooru said, passing Link a map of the island.

Link then headed for the door and to the ship he would command. As the ship left the sandy port, Link felt a sense of regret that his group of a dozen elite warriors was taking about half of the food meant for 300.

He was happy though that this meant a few weeks where only a dozen women would be pressuring him into having children with them. Since there was only one male per generation, there was great pressure for him to have many wives. While many of the women had traditionally captured men from nearby races for fathers to their children, there was a great sens of pride in having pure children. Link had been accepted by these women and as the only man allowed to walk their fortress, seemingly was the only socially-acceptable substitute for the lack of men these days.
