"Yeah?"
"Will you marry me?" she asks.
You are so startled you actually stop. "Uh, what? Marry you? Well, I just met you and all, and...I mean, I really really like you, and my parents would kill me if they knew I was having sex with someone I wasn't married to, but...you serious?"
"Yeah, Brad, I'm serious. I mean, I'm drunk," Rebecca laughs, "but, seriously, you're really sweet and, I mean, I could protect you from being legally digested by some bitch using special digestion aids or some kind of crap trying to cheat you out of your money. Seriously, there's people like that who would do anything just to watch you go down. Besides, I really...I really like you," she says, getting all emotional on you all of a sudden and squeezing you close against her breasts.
You realize you have a really good thing going, I mean...this is a beautiful and powerful girl who is actually being very nice to you and is even falling in love with you, how could you turn that down? "But...no offense, but I'm kinda younger than you, I mean...I probably need to get my parents to agree and all that and I don't know how I could tell them about this..."
"Hey, you're old enough, they changed the laws a while ago and as long as you're old enough and the bride agrees you can do it. I think if you try to divorce me it'll take a really long time to go through at this point but otherwise you're all good. Your folks don't even have to know unless you want to tell them...in fact, I can do it all online, just get your ID and fingerprints and all that stuff and we're hitched!"
"Wow," you say. "Just...wow." You look at Rebecca's face, and are surprised to see genuine affection there, not just drunken impulse. "Uh..."   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
