You scratch your beard then decide to lightly shrug your shoulders and declare "Sure why not I've got a little bit of time up my sleeve"
The slaver gives you a most elaborate bow then directs you to a curtained off room "This way sir, for the demonstration"
You follow him in and as your eyes adjust to the half light you notice a rather terrified girl locked into a tiny cage with only her head sticking out. She stares at you forlornly for a moment before softly begging "Please sir, this must be some mistake, I'm not a slave in fact I'm a captured princess"
You frown and look at the naked girl, she clearly has no brand marks and isn't collared, so the not being a slave part is probably true as for the rest you aren't convinced. You however turn to the slaver and sharply ask "where did you get this girl, she doesn't look a slave?"
The slaver chuckled and gave you a most conspiratorial grin "Perhaps not yet, but after she is transformed who is going to care or know?"
You raise your eye brows realizing he had avoided your question completely "So um was she really a princess?"
He laughed and you assumed he was about to say no but to your surprise he declared "Of course she is and I've been paid a princely sum to make her disappear, but I've got such a heart of gold so that instead of killing her I'm going to let her live but as one of my beasts"
The poor naked princess goes rather pale at that statement and nervously shakes her head "Please sir, anything but that"
The whole situation has started to feel very uncomfortable to you, as you cautiously scan the room you notice the slaver has two of his own men standing idly near the entrance, but you are armed and are not intimidated by such a trivial show of force. If you intervene and kill the slaver or his guards the princess might be grateful but the red tap and paperwork will keep you stuck at the slave compound for weeks and you do need to leave latter in the afternoon to collect your reward. You frown as you weigh up the possible consequences of intervening to free the princess and those for non action.
