She tried to release her magical energy into Gale to calm her down so Gale could be enchanted again but she had underestimated the angry little woman.
“Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!†she yelled, as Gale took the occasion to grow, bending the fingers that held Gale out of their sockets.
“You picked the wrong woman to mess with, bitch!†she yelled, as she wrapped her hands around the Empress’s throat. With her eyes literally turned as red as her flame-red hair, she pumped her magical energy into the Empress, not to calm her down but to melt her with her magical fire.
Amelia screamed as she watched her screaming mother’s skin, muscle and fat melt off her bones. Five Imperial Guards burst into the chamber. Gale shot a big flame into the first one, causing his guts to fall out when knocking a second one to the ground with a kick to the gut. She turned to a third guard, slamming a chair into him knocking him unconscious. The other two grabbed Amelia and turned to run but Gale had twisted the legs out of the chair and threw a leg at each guard, hitting his heart. The threesome fell down, and then Amelia got up.
“Run, bitch!†Gale snarled, summoning all of her self-discipline to avoid killing the child.
Amelia ran, yelling, “Daddy, Gale killed Mommy!â€
A furious Gale turned to the dollhouse.
Kendall stuttered, “I was en-enchanted…â€
Gale’s expression softened, the little man was afraid because he had impregnated her when they were both under the mind-controlling enchantment.
“Not everything we did was because of the enchantment. The enchantment ‘modified’ our real selves; it did not altogether destroy our real selves. I really loved you; did you really love me?†she asked with a gentle tone of voice and a gentle facial expression, as she petted the little man in her hand.
Kendall kissed her finger. “Of course, I loved you and still do. You’re beautiful and you stood up for me in the witches’ lair when no one else would.â€
Gale raised Kendall to her lips and kissed him. “Then we must flee as a family. I overheard the Empress say that Serosa was trying to steal me. Serosa is my sister. And now that I am my true self, I know how to reach her hide-out.â€
Picking up Kendall and their three sons, Gale placed them in a satchel, hung the satchel’s strap over her shoulder and chanted the secret spell to reach her sister’s hide-out just in time to evade the Empress’s army streaming into the doll chamber.
