The ring had suddenly disappeared as well

Sandra looked down at her hand where the magic ring had previously been. She did a double check as the ring had appeared to have just vanished into thin air.

"What the hell," Sandra said in a very confused voice, looking all around for the ring. She even stood up, temporarily forgetting about her shrunken husband and daughter.

"Well where did it go?" she asked while shaking her head with her hands on her hips. "Gary, are you around, sweetie?" There was obviously no answer, as Gary was now the size of an ant trying to avoid Sandra's deadly feet.

Down on the ground, Megan had been able to explain to her dad what happened to the ring. She also mentioned how they needed to get to it if they wanted any chance at returning to normal size.

The shrunken duo would be in luck though. Through a low cut patch of grass, Gary spotted the ring, now much larger than themselves, just laying on its side. "C'mon Megan, we need to get there," he said as the shrunken pair took off running.

As the two shrinkees approached the ring, what happened?
