Chapter #9

"I don't feel any different yet."

“I don't feel any different yet,” I say out loud. “Me neither, sorry to tell you Clados, but I think this test is a fail,” Rebecca told the Doctor in a regrettable tone.

Snapping her fingers once again, the drone seized taking pictures and disappearing in an instant. “You two don't feel anything, hungry, bloated, not even the urge to absent-mindedly snack on copious amounts of unhealthy snacks until you're the size of a small abode?” The Doctor asking while snapping her fingers for the third time.

A drone materialized in front of us with a platter full of junk food, trying to tempt us. “That's kinda weird,” I think to myself. I turn to Rebecca and see a look of confusion on her own face. “Uh, not really. After drinking that stuff, I actually lost my appetite.” Rebecca explains to the slightly pushy Clados.

With a sigh, the Doctor turns and walks back to her desk and brings her screen back up. With her typing away on the keyboard, I follow Rebecca back to the desk and we take our seats across from the disappointed Alien.

Rebecca being the better conversationalist between the two of us, starts things up. “Soo, what's your home planet like? Are you married, did you bring any family?” With the Doctor clicking away on her keyboard, she didn't miss a beat with her response. “My planet is a lot like yours, only a couple of small differences. When I solved my species' greatest potential, it solved all other issues that we had. No more wars, no more limits to our technology, but most importantly it solved my planets' shortage of food.” Taking her eyes away from the screen and looking at us again.

“In earth terms, yes I'm married. We decided that it was for the best for him to stay on our home planet, I didn't want him going through the surgeries required to come here.” Clados smiling, her eyes looking towards a little metallic pyramid sitting on her desk. “ What kind of procedures did you need to come here? Like to breathe oxygen?” I ask while following Clodos' eyes.

“As my earlier statement suggested, our planets are very alike, but if you want to see what kind of procedure I had to undergo, go ahead and touch that memory fragment.” Dr. Clados nodding towards the pyramid, giving me the go-ahead to touch it. Reaching over and pressing my index finger against the smooth side of the pyramid-shaped object. Immediately a flash of light fills the room.

With my eyes readjusting to the room, I look up to see two floating images above us. Two titanic piles of what looks like pillows showing in a holographic image. visibly shrunken down to a manageable size, whatever was in that picture was larger than anything I've ever seen. “Look at how sexy I was, and what I would give to get my hands on Mr. Clados belly now.” Clados looking at the above images with a dreamy look.

“WAIT! That's you and your husband!?!?” Rebecca almost yells at this point. “Yes, and I was the largest being on my planet by a bit, second biggest was my husband. Though even he couldn't match my expanse.” The Doctor said in a proud tone. “How much did you weight at your highest?” My curiosity getting the better of me. My eyes still scanning all the immense rolls and folds.

“On my planet, they gave me a unit of measurement. To show they appreciated my work for my people. My unit of measurement was a Clados. Right before I went under to remove all of my beautiful adipose, I was at a high of 300 earth tons.” Clados says while bringing a hand down to her abdomen, and slightly pinching it.

“If you stuck me in a room with unlimited chocolate peanut butter Ice cream, and nothing else to do except eat, I would get to that size too.” Rebecca jokingly said.

“Well, that was one idea we had but found that you would've grown too fast for us to record the required information. Plus we feel that people might notice something when hundreds of gallons being shipped here.” Clados says while touching the memory fragment again and removing the holograms from the room.

Rebecca any myself laugh at the Doctors joke, but only we're laughing. We both turn to look at the Alien in front of us, and only see her with a quizzical look on her face. “you aren't serious about us getting fat... right?” Rebecca asking with mild concern.

“Oh no I'm alive serious about it, when my people achieved such a colossal achievement, we began to change in untold amounts of ways. Our bodies adapted and thrived into what they are today, no sicknesses, and no weaknesses. Our minds began to unfold the many pages of our universe, what held us back from reaching our peak of perfection. Once I had passed my 15th ton, I could see the universe in ways I couldn't have even imagined. That's why we need to push you two, to see if humans can meet such perfection.” The Doctor spoke before standing up and walking around her desk towards us.

Kneeling down, she put a hand on both of our stomachs. “You two hold the key right here. All we need to do now is wait. Or is that takes too long, go to plan B, and see how you two cope with enough calories that could feed Hesper for years. Whatever works really, just need you two unquestionably fat.” The Doctor said before squeezing Rebecca and my stomach with her hands.

“I don't want to weigh as much as a whale.” Rebecca whining while looking pretty distraught.

“Well actually, you both will weigh about 2.608695652173 times more than an adult blue whale, so you won't technically weigh as much as one, but actually multiple,” Clados said trying to make Rebecca feel better. “That's if you two stop growing at that point though.” The Doctor continues while standing back up and returning to her chair.

“Wait, what do you mean if we stop growing there? You don't know when we'll actually stop getting fatter? What's stopping us from growing so big we start to overrun the town with lard?” I ask while my fear starts to seep through my voice.

“Well, you two are the first to test this formula. I wouldn't worry about it though, it could be a failure. On the off-chance it works, you two could end up bigger than me, theirs no telling really what's going to happen. You both could end up at 300 tons, or double that, or more, hopefully, triple that. If you two do start to grow too big for the earth, I know a special little planet with inhabitants that would love to cater to you both. The Ventachs is a lovely race of Alien that love to stuff food down visitors throats. When my hubby and myself went, you should have see how much they were stuffing us, even at 300 tons, I had to tell them to slow down.” The Doctor said with a look of glee on her face.

Rebecca getting herself together starts to ask another question. “Wait, how do you plan to feed us enough to turn us into mega beached whal-*URP*.” Rebecca sentence cut off by a rogue burp. Usually the polite one, Rebecca covers up her mouth in shock. Right after a moment of silence, her stomach starts to rumble up a storm. “W-what's happening?” Her stomach started letting out angry gurgles, letting everyone know something was amiss. *UURghgh*

*URP* I couldn't stop my burp from coming up. My own gut starts to rumble in response to Rebecca's own agitated stomach. Louder and louder they got, almost as if in a competition to see who was the most thunderous. Powerful and deafening roars filling the room until all that I could hear was my gut telling me something was wrong. I turn to Rebecca and see that she's looking to me for an answer. With nothing to say, we both turn and see a very joyful Doctor staring back at us.

“It's happening!” With a snap of her fingers, Clados had the original drone reappears and starts flashing more photos.

I look back to Rebecca as she starts to talk. “Conrad, I don't feel so good.”

The sounds of our angry guts finish, and the next noise I hear is...
