"We don't want to offend the locals by ignoring the police. At least we can inform them of the murder and of our intentions to return to Charleston. Otherwise they might not be too friendly to our forces when they come over."

"Alright then, if you insist. But if anything happens, well you all know who to blame." The captain grunted his opinion of Stephen's idea. "Well who should go to the police?"
