Sarah tossed and turned in her bed that night. She couldn't sleep. She felt like she had to, because she didn't want to be tired the next day, but she wasn't sleepy at all. She just laid in bed, staring at the ceiling, her body aching from the accident. But the aching wasn't normal, it was an odd type of ache, that Sarah never felt before. As the hours passed, she still couldn't sleep, her clock showing it was 4 am.
She got out of bed, the aching in her body seemed to subdue, and she went over to her bathroom, and began to splash her face with water. She rubbed her eyes a bit, and looked at herself in the mirror, her teeth felt weird. She looked at them, and her gums, seeing if maybe she cut them or injured them without noticing...for some reason. She rubbed her finger against her canine tooth, and felt a sharp sting. She moved her hand quickly from her mouth and looked at her finger tip, and saw it bleeding.
Confused, she opened her mouth, and looked to see her canines slowly lengthening and sharpening...
The next day, Sarah was back, skippy and happy, and she sat next to you. "Hi Moe!"
"Hey Sarah, how's it going."
"I got in a car accident yesterday."
"Holy crap, are you ok?"
"Yeah! I feel really great!" She said, smiling. You noticed her teeth.
"Are you wearing fake teeth?" you asked.
She closed her mouth quickly. "Is it that noticable?"
"Yeah, it is. It's kinda dorky." You said, and you both laughed a bit. "But it's cute."
"Don't say anything Moe," Sarah said, whispering, "Seriously, last night, I couldn't sleep. At all. I haven't sleep in 48 hours, and I feel fantastic. And then, my teeth turned this way!"
"Yeah, mine too, that happens to me everyday." You said, sarcasticly, thinking she was joking."
"No! Seriously! They are sharp too! Would I wear sharp teeth in my mouth? I wouldn't want to cut my mouth up."
"They aren't sharp. I can tell they are fake." You say.
"Really? Poke it, with your finger." She said, and opened her mouth.
You hesitated, but you wanted to call her bluff, so you moved you finger up quickly, and poked it harder than you intended. "Ah! God damn, ow!" You said, looking at your finger, which was bleeding. "Holy crap, why would you do that?"
"Moe, I'm serious, they are real!" Sarah said, smacking her lips a bit. Her face turned to a look of horror suddenly.
"What's wrong?" You ask.
"Moe...I...at first it was just whatever...but now I'm getting worried..."
"What? Sarah, you are freaking me out."
"Your blood tasted really good..." She said. "I don't know what's happening to me..." You said, nothing, and just stared at her, confused and worried, and she got up and left the room. You looked around, then followed, worried slightly about your new friend.
You followed her down the hall, and she called out to you "Here, quick, before someone sees us." You both duck into a janitor closet, and lock it from the inside. "What's going on."
"Moe...I'm becoming a zombie or something!" She said, confused and scared.
"What." You said, in a monotone voice, still thinking this was some kind of trick.
"No, not a zombie, a vampire. I think I'm a vampire!" She said, a worried look on her face.
"Wait, are you seriously thinking that? Did you eat something this morning?"
"Yeah, some cereal."
"And you aren't craving blood?"
"Not really craving it, it just tasted really good." She explained.
"Ok, here, try to overpower me." You said, and you and Sarah held each others hands, and she tried to push against you, and turn your fingers back, and even tried pulling, and with littler force, you were able to prevent her from doing almost anything.
"Ok...I guess I'm not a vampire...I can get cut too..." She paused, and looked down. "But...can I have some more...um...blood?"
"Wait, really?"
"Please Moe! It tasted so good..."
