Nala decided she ought to go home, Simba could be anywhere by now and going out to search for him would probably get her into trouble. With that in mind she headed for Pride Rock, hoping to sneak in like she'd never been away.
Alas it wasn't to be, for she'd only been there a few moments when her mother Sarafina asked, "Nala, where've you been?"
"Um..." Nala replied, thinking desperately, "nowhere, just nearby."
"Just nearby," Sarafina asked, "how nearby?"
"I always made sure Pride Rock looked bigger than an ant-hill Nala replied truthfully, but still fidgetting with worry.
"And did you find anything interesting," Sarafina asked.
"Not really," Nala replied, "I got a bit of stomach ache."
"And serves you right for being such a greedy-guts," Sarafina asked, "you'll know better now won't you?"
