Kil had spent all his electricity in the first race and he knew he didn’t have a chance without it, so he suggested him to go for a drinks instead.
They bough a pair and drank it as they rested underneath a big tree in YorkNew’s famous park, ParkCentral.
While Gon was drinking his cola, Killua peeked at him several times, observing the features of his new body, like how thick the bicep of his right arm flexed as it was holding the cola can, or his oversized tshirt straining by his monumental pecs, deltoid and his shoulders.
They only tested his speed that time, but he was wondering how strong he was. He was an enhancer, so he guessed he was way stronger than him now. He was starting to feel envy… and sad. He felt he was leaving him behind...
“Gon” He said “how do you feel?”
“I’ve never been better!” He answered enthusiastically.
“That’s cool” Killua looked down. “That growth spurt really improved your skills as hunter”
“Do you think it’s due to that? I think it was the result of my training”
Gon had always been so naive... but Killua loved that aspect of him.
“If that’s the cause, I wish it would keep going. I want to really strong, the best hunter ever, so my father will start looking up to me”
“Aye”
They didn’t know someone was watching them behind some bushes, spying them with two eyes as dark as her smiling mouth and listening any single word they said.
Killua wanted to be strong too, but for different reasons. He wanted to be free, strong enough to stop his family from controlling him, hurting him…
“That’s nice. I wish the same too.” He muttered sadly “I wish I could be as big and strong as you, no matter how much you grow..."
