This choice: The girls aren't going to a movie, they're sneaking off together. • Go Back... There's a bit of light streaming into this girl's shoe, but not a lot. It's not like there'd be much to look at anyway: there are five toes, the inside of a shoe, and you, cleverly disguised as silver nail polish and lying flat on her toenail. In fact, after a few minutes, you decide you can safely conclude that the whole experience is kind of boring. Becoming virtually flat is an interesting concept, but in practice you find that, well, all you do is lie there. You do start to wonder about what will happen to you when this girl starts applying nail polish remover to her toes, but all you do is resolve to transform yourself into something else before she gets that far. It's still an odd prospect, though. Would you still remain conscious after you dissolve?
You spend some time lost in thought before you realize that you can hear sounds outside the shoe, and you're pretty sure they're not the movie. In fact, you can still hear this girl's voice, as well as that of another petulant early teenager, who you figure must be this Cassie character. You strain to hear what they're saying, but before you can make out more than a few words at a time, you start to hear the sound of a couple of teenage male voices too.
Ah, young love. Or, more likely, young social awkwardness. You hear a couple voices crack once or twice and you can't help but giggle, to the extent that nail polish can laugh. You can't hear much of what's going on, but you imagine the two girls skipped out on the movie to meet up with some boys. This doesn't prove very interesting, either, but after an hour or so your hostess takes off her shoes.
That's an unexpected development. Looking around, you're first thrown off by your odd perspective from this girl's toenail, as if you could put your head flat on the ground and look upwards. She of course looks titanic, and it's fun to get the perspective of a real giantess for as long as you want. After a few minutes of gazing, you realize that she's walking down the sandy shore of a pond with one of these boys. You can hear what they're talking about a little better, but you then discover that it's unbelievably boring. No, you don't care how much they hate whoever from school. You tune back out and enjoy the experience.
Then, the two of them stop. They look at each other, and awkwardly move their heads closer. You know where this is going. This would probably be an ideal time to turn back into a person again, albeit a tiny one, and then sneak away and do something else fun with the transformation gun. Of course, you would run the risk of being discovered, and besides, this blossoming couple is kind of funny to watch. You could stick it out. indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
