"I do not think they are here; we searched for hours."
Gomamon complains and paces back and forth in despair. Veemon's plan has not gone as expected. They are deep in the forest, and they might be lost.
"I am sure they are here."
Veemon interrupts Gomamon and makes up a quick lie. Veemon's master plan requires no witnesses to succeed. Gomamon still had no idea of what Veemon was planning. He kept walking along the trail.
"I hope we find him soon; it is getting dark."
Gomamon notes nervously, and Veemon's stomach growls. They had walked forever; Veemon tried to get Gomamon to lower his guard.
"I hope we find them because I am getting hungry."
Veemon stares maliciously at Gomamon from behind his back, but Gomamon does not catch Veemon's stare. They both keep walking the narrow path.
"I did not bring any food, so we must return to the village."
Gomamon hangs his head in complete and total defeat; Veemon has to stop him; he has to think quickly, so Veemon comes up with another lie.
"We do have some food with us."
Gomamon looks at Veemon; Gomamon is quite naive, so Veemon's plan may still work. Gomamon searches the immediate locale but can't find any food nearby.
"I did not bring any food; what did you bring?"
Now is the best time; Veemon must spring his plan before it is too late. Gomamon stares impatiently at Veemon. This spot is far enough, so Veemon leaps into action.
"I know what I am eating."
Veemon flashes a wicked smile in Gomamon's direction. Gomamon looks confused; he is far more naive than Veemon anticipated. Veemon hoped for more of a challenge from his prey.
"What are you going to eat?"
Veemon decides honesty is the best choice; Veemon could most likely catch Gomamon if he tries to escape, but Veemon doubts Gomamon will find his way back to the village.
"I was thinking of eating you."
Veemon devilishly admits and stares straight at Gomamon. Gomamon wears a fearful look, and he backs away from Veemon. Veemon does not let Gomamon's fright deter him, and he creeps closer to Gomamon.
"What do you mean me!"
Gomamon exclaims in a panic. Veemon finds it odd that Gomamon has not fled. Maybe if Veemon told the truth, Gomamon may have stayed calm. It might make things easier for both of you; Gomamon might cooperate if Veemon is lucky.
"I have always wanted to eat another Digimon."
Veemon puts his plan out in the open and carefully watches Gomamon's reaction. Gomamon is lost in deep thought; Veemon wonders if Gomamon will help him to fulfill his fantasy. Gomamon reacts without fail.
"I will let you eat me, but under one condition."
Veemon never expected Gomamon's willingness; Veemon anticipated a struggle. The thought of willing prey starts to excite Veemon, and Gomamon does deserve something in return for his cooperation.
"What is it?"
"You must let me out later and not digest me."
Veemon ponders the offer; he still gets to eat Gomamon, and they may do other things after Veemon frees Gomamon. Gomamon's offer sounds fair enough, so Veemon decides to accept it.
