Though she always tried to keep her cool girl persona going, Michelle Jones or MJ as she liked to be known as, was excited to be on a European vacation with some of her classmates. It had always been her dream to travel and now she was finally going to get a taste of it. She also hoped that it would allow her to spend more time with Peter. Maybe he might notice her now that Liz was out of the picture.
MJ was excited that their first stop was in Venice, Italy. After checking in at the hotel and putting their stuff into their hotel rooms, their teacher chaperons said they were free to explore the town. She had hoped to explore with Betty Brant but since she was wanting to spend time with her new boyfriend Ned, she decided to explore on her own. She checked out the church, the town square, and even fed some pigeons. She was starting to feel a little hungry when she noticed Peter shyly make his way over to her.
"Hi Peter! Lonely without your wingman?" she asked him, teasing him a bit. Her snark was one of the ways that helped her deal with emotions that she wasn't fully ready to explore.
Peter laughed a little nervously in response. "Oh...no. I was thinking of getting some lunch and I wanted to see if you would want to join me" he said. He had purchased a Black Dahlia necklace for her and he wanted to give it to her over lunch and tell her how he felt about her. It was a plan that he had devised before they left on their European vacation. He was going to make sure to act on it.
"Sure! I was actually thinking of getting lunch myself" MJ agreed. Secretly she was delighted but she didn't want Peter to know how excited she was. "I saw a restaurant not too far from here that looked good" she said.
"Sounds perfect. Let's go" Peter said. The two of them headed for the restaurant and got a nice table outside
