"Wow, you sure showed Corneil a thing or two in that class," exclaimed Zen as he packed his bags. "I bet he'd be so embarrassed, being matched by a human like you." You feel proud of your abilities in math today, but you are getting quite hungry. Zen hears your stomach growling like a miniature lion.
"Well, I bet you'll be glad to know that lunch is next," chuckled Zen as he hoisted you onto his thick furry shoulder. "Let's head off to the cafeteria, human."
However, when you both left the door, you were caught by surprise by Corneil, who had grown to sixty feet and was apparently waiting right outside the door for you. Grabbing Zen in his meaty clutches, he makes sure this time that he can't grow to save you now."
"Listen up, you bug, there is no way I'm going to let a puny human steal my thunder, you hear?" raged the rhino, shaking Zen vigorously and nearly making you lose your grip. "I'm only saying this once; us anthros have been, are, and always must be better than you humans; it's how it was meant to be. I've got my eye on you, human, and the next time I catch you becoming even remotely on par with us anthros, you will be sorry you ever came here."
Corneil Rhinowski dropped Zen to the hallway floor and stormed off in a huff, leaving you terrified and Zen very peeved. "Ugh, that guy is such a jerk! I don't know why anyone would want to hang out with him!" It is then that he notices you in total shock on his shoulder, and immediately changes his attitude. "Oh, I'm sorry you had to go through that, human. I should have realized that even a little spat like that would be so much more frightening for you." Zen's large paw pats your back, and you start to feel better. "Thank's Zen, I needed that," you reply to your helpful feline friend.
"I know what will cheer you up, human; their serving my personal favorite lunch today at the cafeteria! I'll get you some for you, my treat." Suddenly, something odd entered your mind. These anthros seem so humanlike, and yet can be a bit animalistic as well. Do anthros eat food humans can eat, or do they something a bit ... fresher?
At least when you get to the cafeteria, Zen brings you to a table with his friends. You recognize Albert the crocodile, Theodore the Kodiac bear, Claude the wolverine, Felicia the cheetah, and even Kira the fox. All of them seem to accept you like Zen, and you are glad that the herbivores tend to separate themselves from the carnivores in the cafeteria. Zen leaves the table to buy the food, and your friends also seem quite hungry. If you didn't know better, you would have thought that they would try to eat you.
