Chapter #54

The Colossi

When the group had reached The Crossroads, they had found a set of 4 meteors, still glowing with a bright green radiance, spread a fair amount apart from one another; everyone was relieved knowing the placement wouldn't accidently cause Sumia to grow too big. Robin and Maribelle got to work erecting barriers around the meteorites so the shards would stay in; the two read incantations from tomes to create bright blue spheres around the craters and then set the tomes to the ground like charms, allowing the barriers to stay up without anyone needing to keep the spell held. The duo came back to the others to confirm the barrier.

"Okay," Robin started, "The way the barriers work is that they're permeable by all that enter it, but won't allow anything to leave unless impact is felt. Once the stones hit the barrier, it should dissipate, allowing Sumia room to grow without injuring herself."

"You have a strategy for everything, don't you Robin?" asked Tiki, admiring the tactician's careful planning

"Ahem!" chimed Maribelle, "Forgive me if I'm being rude, but can we get this over with? I have a very important schedule ahead of myself for the week, and I don't wish to waste it out here."

"Understood." replied Tiki, not fazed by Maribelle's impatience. "Lady Sumia, are you ready?"

"Ready!" Sumia walked out from behind a carriage draped in a blanket covering her body, having disrobed herself for the experiment. She walked forward and stood facing Chrom, pulling the Exalt in for a quick hug and kiss before she did her part.

"You're not going anywhere you know." spoke Chrom with a smile.

"I know," responded Sumia, "Just one for the road, in case it's a while before we do this again." Sumia had thought how she would become pregnant with the Cynthia of her time as a giant, but she figured not to worry about it for now, Naga and Tiki knew what they were doing. Robin turned around so he wouldn't look at Sumia's body, being respectful of his friend's wife, as Sumia marched towards the meteor by herself and entered the barrier. As she faced the meteor, Sumia dropped the blanket from her body, exposing it to the world, and took a deep breath; she touched the smooth surface of the meteor and felt the rock rumble in return. In an instant, she was engulfed in a bright green light and watched the meteor shatter before her; the pieces flew in every direction and hit the barrier walls, keeping the shards constrained to the crater for easy collection. Soon, the barrier dissipated, leaving Sumia kneeling before a pile of rocks.

"Are you okay Sumia?" asked Chrom, concerned for his wife's well-being.

"I...I'm fine, it's just...Ugh..." Feeling a slight discomfort in her body, Sumia hugged herself and watched the world shrink before her, the trees dwindle smaller as she expanded. After a short while, Sumia stopped feeling the Earth shift under her feet, signaling a halt to her growth, and stood to her full height of 60 feet tall. "Amazing..." she said, feeling the breeze run through her hair, awestruck by her size. "This is nothing like seeing the world from the back of a Pegasus..."

"Amazing..." parroted Say'ri, admiring the sight. "It's not pleasant to feel, yet amazing to see. Those meteors truly are a strange enigma..."

"Uh," started Robin, "Can you please dress yourself Sumia? I really don't want to see you naked..."

"Oh!" gasped Sumia, "Sorry Robin! Just taking this all in! Let's just get out of this hole..." Sumia moved one foot out of the crater and prepared to move the other, ready to drape herself in Maribelle's curtains. As she took her step towards the carriages, she slipped on the blanket she dropped to the ground, causing her to trip forward and fall. "W-Whoa!!" Time seemed to slow for a moment as everyone watched the giant fall towards them, shock and panic on their faces, save Robin who wasn't watching. Tiki, Say'ri, and Chrom moved to the right, Chrom carrying Robin by his arm, and Maribelle jumped back to the left to avoid Sumia's body; they watched as Sumia's body crashed into the carriage carrying the curtains, her body left a dent in the ground on impact. The ground shook and everyone was knocked off their feet; Maribelle, who had jumped, had tumbled back the most, rolling down a crater and hitting her head against a hard surface. Sumia removed her head from the wreckage of the carriage and shook off the impact, everyone looked on to survey the damage to the area.

"Lady Sumia!" yelled Maribelle, frustration reaching a zenith. "Be more careful! I nearly broke my neck falling down!"

"Uh, Maribelle..." interrupted Robin, now watching the situation.

"Not now Robin! I've had it up to here with all these giants! I should be preparing for a Ball! Not-" Maribelle's ramblings were interrupted by a rumbling from behind her. She turned around and adopted a horrified expression as she saw what she hit; a meteor, ready to burst. "Uh oh..." The flash of green light up the crater and more shards scattered under the second barrier, allowing it to disperse as Maribelle began to expand. The group was treated to the sounds of ripping fabric for a short while as they saw the once-small noble expand as well; when the growth stopped, Maribelle grew to a massive 60 feet alongside Sumia, the pink horse-riding suit she wore during her time in the Shepherds now scattered across the ground, leaving Maribelle nude. "AIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" screamed Maribelle, covering her privates with her hands, horrified at her new stature. "Look at me! I'm a freak! My favorite riding suit is in ruins! Ahhh!"

"Well, not how I expected it to go, but I guess we got our meteors." commented Tiki, taking everything in. Maribelle turned around and reached her hand out, grabbing Tiki and holding the Manakete between her fingers by her dress.

"You!" she cried, "You did this to me! I just wanted to stay at home, study law, and eat chocolate; now look at me!"

"Actually, you tripped on the impact, it's kind of Sumia's fault."

"I'll crush you!" yelled Maribelle at the Manakete. She fully grasped her hands around Tiki and prepared to crush her, Tiki only looked completely unfazed; in truth though, she was completely terrified on the inside.

"Honey!" shouted Robin, "Don't crush Tiki! We need her to get you two back to normal! Just put her down, please!" Maribelle gritted her teeth and huffed, she moved her hands to the ground and released Tiki before moving her hands back to cover herself.

"Thank you Robin." spoke Tiki to Robin in a solemn voice. She took Say'ri by her hand and drug her behind a tree; when she was out of sight, Tiki started shuddering and grasped Say'ri tightly by the waist of her dress, her teeth started chattering and she begun to feel physically ill. Robin ran over to his wife and began to stroke her thigh; he looked up at Maribelle's face, it went from a healthy peach to bright red, the woman bit down on her bottom lip and tears started to well in her eyes.

"Now I know things look bad," he started softly, his voice naturally relaxing his wife, "But we just need to take the meteor you hit with you too, and Naga can fix you right up. I promise that we'll get you at a manageable size before the Ball hits, and then you'll never need to touch your stone ever again if you don't want to; though I really hope you do use it sometimes, it just means more of you for me to love!" Maribelle sniffled a little and wiped the tears from her eyes, trying to get control of her mood better. "It's a little scary now, but just smile, we can get you back to normal too."

"T-Thanks Robin..." responded Maribelle. "I'd kiss you, but right now, I'm a little...indecent. Lady Tiki, please forgive me for my outburst." Tiki's shaking hand came from behind the tree, giving an "OK" sign to signify her forgiveness. "Lord Chrom, I hope I didn't startle you as well."

"N-Not at all..." replied Chrom with a faint blush upon her face. "It's just...You wouldn't happen to have bought extra curtains, would you?"

"Of course." replied Maribelle, embarrassed the Exalt laid eyes upon her naked body. "Lady Sumia, is there any you could spare for me?"

"You're in luck!" responded Sumia, grabbing the stacks of curtains from the tattered remains of the carriage. "It looks like if we just tie around our chests and loins, we can cover up enough for both of us!"

"Thank goodness..." Sumia extended a pile of curtains towards Maribelle and the two quickly got to work at tying the cloth to cover themselves, at least while they were at this size. When finished, the two looked like they wore strapless lavender swimsuits, their figures complemented what they wore well.

"Alright, on to Mount Prism next, right Tiki?" Tiki shook her head at Sumia's question, still trying to get over Maribelle's angry outburst. "Sorry I wrecked the carriage boys, you're going to have to ride with us." Sumia took Chrom by his cape and dropped him between her breasts, jiggling them playfully when he landed. "Don't worry Chrom, I promise not to trip!" Maribelle took Robin and Say'ri and sat them upon her shoulders together, she rubbed her hand across her arm and felt a little embarrassed at showing so much skin once the gravity of her situation set in. Tiki fully recovered from her fear and shifted to dragon form, ready to lead the charge.

"Alright, gather your shards or you're not getting small again." she commanded, the girls had followed orders and gathered their rocks, holding them like small piles of soil before beginning a march. "Alright, off to Mount Prism!"
