For an hour, Ino walked around the village breaking in her new insoles. Gradually, Naruto become used to the pattern of Ino’s feet as she moved around. He could feel the changes in the pressure of the foot that was pressing into him and knew when Ino was about to lift her foot or bring it down. This gave him a little bit of time to brace half his body in preparation of supporting Ino’s foot. Already used to splitting his mind in multiple directions from his signature technique, he was able to relax half his body as Ino lifted one of her feet and mentally prepare the other half of his body to support the weight of her other foot at the same time. The hardest part for Naruto was when Ino had both her feet on the ground pressing against him but he managed to withstand it by concentrating on how beautiful her feet were. Naruto was amazed as he realized just how much power Ino's feet had over him in this form. Now even the way he thought was regulated by the casual movements of her feet.
Being Ino’s insoles was a double edged kunai for Naruto. On the one hand he loved being pressed up against Ino’s feet and he liked the idea of providing comfort for her soles. On the other hand, he wasn’t too crazy about feeling his body squish under her as her foot smashed against him and it was tough not being able to communicate his feelings to Ino.
Naruto noticed that the more Ino walked around, the hotter her foot became. The sandals he was inside of had started off relatively cool…but Ino’s feet had now warmed it to over 100 degrees. The hotter Ino’s feet got, the more her feet began to sweat and drip onto Naruto. Functioning the way good insoles would, Naruto (without any choice in the matter) absorbed her sweat into himself tasting the salty taste of her feet in the process. It wasn't long before Naruto was soaked in foot sweat.
After walking around a little bit more, Ino was sure she had given Naruto a sense of what being her insoles were like. She could feel how sweaty her feet had become and was sure she had filled up Naruto with enough of her footsweat to last a lifetime. She also noticed how much her insoles had softened since she began walking and decided she had done a good job of breaking her new insoles in.
Pounding her feet into her insoles as she walked was fun, but Ino wondered if there were other ways she could torment the inanimate objects under her feet. She tried to think of activities Naruto enjoyed but wouldn't be able to do while he was acting as her insoles. Suddenly she thought of something really evil. Everybody in Konoha knew about Naruto’s love for ramen and Ino knew about his favorite restaurant. She thought about how devastating it would be for him if she were to eat a bowl of his favorite food in front of him without offering any to him. Ino realized this was the perfect way to rub in the fact that he was now just a pair of insoles.She grinned as she brought her plan into motion.
“Gee breaking in my insoles sure works up an appetite.” Ino announced aloud for Naruto’s benefit. “I wonder where should I go to get a bite to eat?”
Ino’s talk about food made Naruto think about how hungry he was. He hadn’t eaten since that morning and had been burning a lot of energy.
“Hmm…maybe I should try the Ichiraku? The ramen there is out of this world.” Ino continued giggling. “I’m so hungry I might even order 5 bowls for myself”
Normally Naruto would have been thrilled at the suggestion of going to his favorite noodle shop but it didn’t take a genius like Shikamaru to figure out what Ino had planned for him. The thought of being excluded from a ramen meal was enough to make him cry. He wanted to scream at Ino that this was too much torture even for him but of course he couldn’t speak.
Ino smiled as she reached the restaurant. This was going to be fun.
