got the button in -- but what about the zipper?

Making a small sound of triumph as he finally flicked the button into the opening the other side, catching the side of his thumb on the disc of metal, Shuichi flashed a grin at his reflection. He knew he could still fit into his pants, he just needed to wriggle a bit to help guide the button into place, it was probably just a little stiff. Pride still surging through him, he reached down to tug up the zipper, wincing as he felt the metal teeth pinch against his skin. Whining softly at the bite of pain, Shuichi leant over to see what the problem was, face falling at seeing the small rise of flab protruding out between the two lines of metal teeth, stubbornly stopping the zipper from being tugged up. Determination crawled through him, he had gotten this far after all, and he grabbed the zipper again, breathing in as much as he could to make it that little easier.
