Who's bigger know?

Around the city, the crowd of giants had grown to a 'small' group of fifteen with people of the main species present. Everyone was focusing on the little village in an attempt to make out every little detail, to confirm it was the village and not some intricate toy. The longer they stared, the more they saw.

After a few minutes, a small number in the group realized something was happening. The new details they saw weren't from concentrating on the city, they were shrinking! Their height dropped like stones, soon the grass that had once been at their ankles was at their tallest persons' heads. Inches quickly became feet, small things became big, their very foot and paw prints turned into giant pits.

Throughout the shrinking, everyone moved in closer to the village, small people stay with small people, better odds of being found and helped. As they approached however, the group immediately realised they were not to be with the shrunken village for rescuing. At the edge of town, they looked up at everything, the shoe was on the other foot and the milimeter tall denizens of the village seemed like miles tall titans.
