Uh oh, the city seems to be getting bigger

At first Kant hadn't been able to see the city... Then when he finally spotted it, it was practically just a speck. It was no wonder he had missed it... Except.. Now it wasn't a speck, now he could make out faint outlines. The city... It was getting bigger!

"That can't be good." Kant muttered. The city was still quite small, but as far as he was aware the ray wasn't supposed to be temporary. Why would it be growing back? He stared down at the small speck trying to figure it out. He was a scout not an engineer, he didn't know how these things were supposed to work. Either way, he realized he probably needed to call this in. He started to, but paused when he felt a strange sensation.

There was something prickling at his shins. He looked down at himself to examine it... Only to pause as he realized that blades of grass were currently reaching as tall as his knees. He looked around, everything was getting bigger, not just the city! Wait... That meant... The city wasn't getting bigger after all. Kant himself was shrinking!

That wasn't supposed to happen! There must have been some residual energy from when the weapon fired! Or maybe it was some kind of counter attack from the wolves. Either way Kant had to find some way to reverse this. He tried calling in on his radio again to report what was happening. Hopefully HQ would have some way to reverse it. However all he got was static. His equipment, it was too small to have enough range to call back!

Blades of grass soon towered above Kant. In moments he was smaller than an insect... And then soon even smaller than that. The city was no longer a speck, it was a city again. Other than the giant grass reaching into the heavens above it looked normal. That was bad, very bad. Kant was now tiny and alone in enemy territory. Maybe the rest of the cats wouldn't have any trouble since they were still normal sized... But that wasn't going to help right now.

Slowly the shrinking seemed to be stopping... Kant was practically microscopic, same as the wolves... And now...
