"...I was wondering about the kinds of things you have to eat during the day, Clara," Lisa said warmly.
The subject of food seemed to get Clara's attention, as Lisa could see her eyes light up from behind her thick glasses.
"Let's start with breakfast," Lisa began, taking out her phone to write down notes, "What do you usually have to eat in the morning, Clara?"
"Umm," Clara muttered, gently kicking her tree-trunk like legs, "a big bowl of chocolate cereal - sometimes two. And some poptarts, about three or four. Sometimes five. Some sausages and bacon too. And some chocolate milk."
Lisa blinked slowly as she jotted down the list. It was no wonder the girl was so big. "What about lunch?"
"For lunch I sometimes get pizza, or some burgers," the girthy girl explained, "or chicken nuggets. Sometimes all three. I always get them with fries."
Lisa bit her lip ever so slightly. "I see, and what's dinner like?"
"We usually order takeout for dinner," the girl answered, "Chinese, pizza, McDonald's...sometimes a couple of places, if we have the money."
Lisa's finger nervously tapped as she typed. "And dessert...?"
A grin crossed Clara's fat face, squishing up her cheeks. "Chocolate cake and ice cream! It's the best."
Lisa saw that coming. "Right...do you have snacks throughout the day?"
"Chips, chocolate bars, burgers, fries, pizza..." she listed, counting on her sausage-like fingers.
Lisa couldn't be surprised - that kind of diet would leave anyone looking like a human blimp. She looked up from her phone to see Clara scratching her titanic tummy while smacking her lips. Perhaps all that thinking about food was working up her appetite, Lisa thought wryly.
"Well, aren't you a lucky girl Clara," she managed to keep up the happy facade, "okay, next question..."
