Sally reached out to catch the small flying object. Her cupped hands make contact but she fumbles it. The thing tumbles off her cupped hands and then spins on behind her chair. There is a audible thud but Sally dismisses it looking over her shoulder but not seeing where it landed. Aw well. "Never mind. Care to go inside? I'm hot."
The red-head smiled. "Yes you are." They get up and move indoors leaving behind the whatever it was that Laney had found. If it had been important the children wouldn't have left it outside to begin with.

Todd came too slowly. The first thing that he recognized was pain...alot of pain. Everything hurt. His arms, his back, his legs. Everything. This wasn't fun. This was dangerous. Of course that was a bit too coherent for him at this point. Slowly Todd licked his broken lips. He taste copper. Blood. He was bleeding. Where's the remote. He had to unshrink and get help.
It was so dark. When did it get this dark?
