Chapter #22"Dance." by: Galan   As soon as Nartuo issued the command Ayame said "Yes Master." and started dancing to the best of her ability, swaying her hips and dancing to a tune only she hears.
"As I thought, now tell her to stop." Iruka sadly replied.
"Stop." Naruto complied and she did so. Naruto blinked a few times "What does this mean?"
"For some reason you have control over her, Naruto think carefully, what happened?" Iruka asked, Teuchi was beside himself, not knowing what to say or think.
"I don't know, I saw a light in her and I felt the urge to grab it, when I did I absorb it." Naruto began, "next thing I knew she was like that."
"Hmm, can you undo it?" He asked. Naruto pondered on that.
"I'll try." He mentioned, he tried to release the light but all that happened was him turning spiritual like last time. "Oh damn it not again!"
"How, how did you do that?!" Iruka asked.
"I found this gem when I opened the scroll, it gave me these ghost powers, I can become a spirit or I can leave my body becoming a spirit." He mentioned.
"A gem?" He wondered. "I never heard anything about that, but perhaps the Hokage knows something, we'll have to inform him, sorry Teuchi but your daughter must come with us."
"My daughter." The poor man muttered.
"I'm really sorry, I had no idea this would happen I swear." Naruto felt terrible, he said nothing for awhile but then he sighed.
"It, it's not your fault I just want to know if she's stuck like this." He muttered.
"She might be." Iruka said, Naruto hit him for that but being a ghost right now it went through. "I'm sorry Naruto but we have to expect the worst."
"Don't say that though, Ayame might be gone forever and it's all my fault!" Naruto cursed himself, as he floated to her to put a hand on her shoulder but when he did, he felt himself phase through her body, but he didn't notice at first.
"I'm sorry Ayame I didn't mean to." Naruto blinked he heard Ayame's voice. "Ayame you're okay!" He paused for a second "Why are you copying what I'm saying?"
"Um, Naruto?" Iruka began, and pointed to the mirror behind him, confused he turned around to find Ayame staring at him.
"Ayame?" She began hearing the waitress's voice still, she watched as she mimicked her actions, before she put a hand on her face to see Ayame do the same. "What?"
"When you touched her in your spirit form you went in her body, it stands to reason you possessed her." Iruka explained.
"I, possessed her?" She started, still hearing Ayame's voice come through her mouth. "No way." She thought for a second before her eyes widened "I even know everything she knows."
"A strange phenomenon to be sure, now try leaving her." Iruka told her. Naruto concentrated, and his spirit left her body, leaving her an empty shell again he materialized and became solid.
"Now her knowledge and memories are gone from my mind, but I do remember seeing them." He mentioned
"How strange, now we definitely need to tell the Hokage, come, and bring her with us." Iruka instructed.
"I'm coming too, she is my daughter after all." Teuchi insisted.
"Very well, Naruto?" Iruka began earning a nod from the blonde.
"Ayame, follow us." He ordered.
"Of course Master." She obeyed, mindlessly following them to the Hokage.   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
