Chapter #21Angela and Riesz by: Galan   The fate of the world was at stake, Anise the Witch, the counter evil to the Goddess of Mana herself, she's an immortal being that can never truly die as long as the Mana Goddess exists, but the heroes had to try.
"Watch out." Faerie's voice said inside Duran's head as he dodged an attack, blocking another with his shield, Angela used her magic to cast holy light on her while Resiz used her spear to stab at her, she then used a spell to lower Anise's defenses.
"Duran, NOW!" Reisz said, Duran nodded and slashed at her with his tech attack, Anise grunted in pain as she laughed.
"Foolish worms, I cannot die." Anise laughed as she used her dark wave to push them back, Duran grunted in pain as he healed the group with lumina's powers.
"We can't give up, our homes depend on us winning." Duran said.
"Who said anything about giving up?" Angela asked as she cast another spell. Anise yelped in pain as she recoiled.
"Fools, you will pay for your insolence." Anise growled as she summoned a giant black meteor, the three of them worked together to protect themselves, the three of them were hurt but not out.
"Begone witch!" Resiz shouted, Angela used more of her spells as Reisz charged with her lance, Duran coming from up top to slash at her, Anise felt herself recoil again, but she doesn't fall. Still the fight has taken its tole.
"Wretched creatures, but no matter, I can always wait until you die from old age, I am eternal, you're not." Anise cackled, "but before I go, FADE FROM EXISTENCE!" The witch used the last ounce of her strength to blast them with unknown magic.
"What is she doing?!" Faerie asked.
"Goodbye, this will erase you from history itself!" Anise laughed as she went back to her domain to rest.
"NO!" Duran yelled as he used his protection magic, Angela and Resiz stood behind him.
"You dummy." Angela said.
"Better me than you." Duran smiled, Angela blushed but said nothing.
"Duran, we don't know what this will do." Resiz warned.
"Hopefully something I can block, right Faerie?" Duran asked.
"Um.....I don't know, I never saw this spell before." Faerie said. Duran gulped.
"NOW you tell me?!" Duran yelled, it was too late as the spell attacked and hit all three of them, they all screamed in pain but Duran used all of his might to repel the spell.
"I won't.....let you.....hurt my FRIENDS!" Duran yelled, he used every ounce of magic he has to block the attack, causing him to light up while the girls still yelled in pain, suddenly there was a huge flash of light. Duran groaned as he got up, seeing Angela and Resiz unconscious.
"I....I did it." Duran said. "Hey Faerie!" There was no response, "must of been knocked out like the rest of us." He'll worry about that later, he had to help Angela and Resiz, he went to the purple haired girl and blonde haired girl respectively.
"Angela, Resiz!" Duran cried, shaking them awake, he checked their pulses, luckily they were still alive. After a bit the two of them woke up.
"Ugh, my head." Angela said.
"What happened?" Resiz asked, they looked at Duran who sighed of relief.
"Had me worried there, but we did it." Duran said, they looked confused as Duran was worried, something wasn't right.
"Did what?" Angela asked.
"The attack, defeating Anise." Duran listed.
"We did?" Resiz asked confused.
"Er, yeah we did, you doing okay Resiz?" Duran asked, however what she said next shocked him to the core.
"Who's Reisz?" Reisz asked, "and who are you?"
"I would like to know that as well." Angela admitted, "as well as my own name."
"Come on guys this isn't funny." Duran panicked, but they looked more confused, "you're not joking are you?"
"Sorry but I really don't know who I am." Angela apologized.
"Neither do I, can you help us?" Reisz asked. Duran was panicking really hard now, whatever that spell did gave them amneasia.
"Faerie wake UP!" Duran yelled.
"Ugh, Duran you can be so careless sometimes!" Faerie said getting out of her head to show her tiny body with wings, "though you did it, you beat Anise."
"WE did it Faerie." Duran said.
"Aw thank you." Faerie giggled, "but I didn't do much."
"No, I mean yes, but Angela and Reisz helped out too." Duran said.
"Who?" Faerie asked. Duran was really confused now.
"Them!" Duran pointed at Angela and Reisz who were equally confused.
"Who are you two?" Faerie asked.
"We have no idea." Angela said.
"We were hoping you'd tell us, strange creature." Reisz added, they were wary of her, but she came from that nice man and they felt safe with him, trusted him.
"If this is a sick joke, please drop it now." Duran said, they all looked confused together, "I was afraid of that."
"Sorry Duran, I have no idea who they are." Faerie said.
"Duran, what a nice name." Angela smiled.
"I agree." Reisz added, "so who are we?" Duran was panicking and confused, the only thing he can surmise was that spell erased their memories, Faerie's too but only of them, was everyone else effected as well, he had to figure this out.  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
