“Naruto, before you decide please let me tell you about our clan’s caged bird seal,” said Hizashi as Naruto was about to respond to Hinata. “The caged bird seal was originally designed to make sure no one could steal our bloodline, but there was something added that caused those that had the seal to become a slave to those who knew the correct handseal. When this seal is used, those with the seal have their brains destroyed slowly causing immense pain. Those of the main branch abuse this seal on the branch members treating them effectively as slaves to their own family. If you refuse to use the puppet seal on Hinata, then within a week she will he branded with the caged bird seal.”

“So you mean she will be either enslaved by her family or tied to me? WHAT KIND OF CHOICE IS THAT? CAN’T YOU DO ANYTHING TO STOP IT!” “I already tried, but the clan elders are set that Hinata is to be branded within the week.” “Naruto, I want to have the puppet seal applied to me, please,” Hinata said once more surprising those that know her as she didn’t stutter once.
