There were many people at the audition. Some really big, some not so big, men and women, some teens, and all different colors. Marrissa, though, was by far the skinniest of anyone. She got more than a few laughs in her direction, but she just ignored them.
After a while, she was called in. The room was pretty bare, just a table with three people behind it. Each one probably weighed more than four Marrissas.
"Come on in honey, we won't bite," said the man in the middle, waving her in and smiling like a lion.
"Speak for yo'self," huffed a woman to his side, fidgeting despite her immense size.
"Hey, I'm -"
"No no no," the man in the middle laughed. "Show us what you got. Bust a flow, make that your introduction!"
Marrissa just shrugged and let out a little something she'd been working on since she saw the commercial for the audition...
My name's Marrissa
I like to feast-a
I don't got a stomach, I got a beast-a
Now don't get me wrong, I can be good
Always do what I should
But you better feed me food
I may look skinny, but here's the deal
My appetite is totally real
My belly's hungry, get outta the way
'Cuz I can chow down
Pound for pound
No matter what I weigh
You think my flow is tight? Check out my jeans
I'm bustin' off my buttons tho I look so lean
My arms and legs look like sticks
But my belly's bustin' out, so I get my kicks
By munchin'
I eat your breakfast, your dinner, and your luncheon
Yeah hide that grub, don't care if it's yours
Gonna stuff it in me 'til I weigh four oh four!
"... it's a work in progress," she admitted, posing with her hands on her hips to look tough.
The judges looked at each other. The man in the middle was smiling. The other guy and the woman weren't, but they did look thoughtful.
"I've got just the project for you... "
