This choice: The medics arrive and take Albert out of there. • Go Back... Before Daichi could do anything, the medics arrived and took Albert out of the room. Nickolai tossed in the food for Daichi, Aurora, and Evelyn before following the medics. "What happened?" Severus asked, "It ssseemsss like heee could here usss."
"Well, technically, we can speak to any human if we direct our thought to him. However, he seemed to have gained the ability to hear us without us doing so," Daichi said.
"That human can use telepathy now?" Dracus asked.
"I guess the human gained Severus's telepathy as well as the other abilities," Daichi answered.
"Weee may not havvve to put Clazzz in danger anymore," Severus pointed out, "Ifff weee can get thisss human on our ssside, heee might help usss essscape."
"That human is one of the bastards that captured us!" Harper shrieked, "He won't help us!"
"He might," Aurora spoke up, "The humans that captured me, I heard them talk about that man, Albert. I heard he's different from the other assassins.
"He does seem kinder towards us," Debra agreed.
"I sense much resentment, Dracus," Daichi replied, "Did you know a dragon and dragon rider?"
"Yesss, I agreeee withhh Debra and Aurora," Severus added.
"That's just because the human took your power and now you're showing feeling for humans or something," Dracus growled.
"That's not true!" Torus barked, "Nickolai took my powers and I don't care about him at all. Humans can die for all I care."
"How do you know that human's name?" Dracus questioned.
Torus thought about it for a moment and eventually answered, "I don't know. I just must have heard it or something."
"Daichi! What is going on?" Circe questioned, "How'd that human know my name and that Severus was still full? How does Torus know the other human!"
"I think something strange must have happened in the inscribing process," Daichi told the others, "Maybe the bonding process is occurring."
There were many gasps and Torus yelled, "How do we reverse it? I don't want o be bonded with a damn human!"
"What is the bonding process?" Claz asked. Claz wasn't the only one who didn't know about it. In fact, only Daichi, Torus, and Dracus knew about the process.
"The bonding process is when to people are 'bonded' together. They closer to each other more than telepathy could ever do. The bonded share the same thoughts. Either one could dive deep into the mind of one another and become almost like one person. So much so that they can even feel the same pain," Daichi tried his best to explain, "It's very hard to explain."
"You mean like dragon riders in legends?" Claz asked.
Dracus snorted, "I remember when dragons and humans used to become bonded with each other to become something greater than any knight or warrior. The 'riders' and 'their' dragons became partners to try and ride the world of evil, protect the innocent, and yadda yadda.
Dracus didn't reply. "How does one become bonded?" Claz asked Daichi.
Daichi answered, "It can happen due to a magical spell, or it could naturally happen. If someone becomes really close friends with a magical creature, they could possibly become bonded.
Daichi began to eat his food and Claz remembered that he was becoming hungry. "Aurora, could have some of whatever food you've been given?" Claz asked.
"Of course you can. You don't even need to ask," Aurora informed him as she rubbed her head against him a few times. They looked at Aurora's food and it was...
Choice 1: Raw meat and fruit. Claz can't eat the raw meat, but he could have the fruit.
Choice 2: Raw meat. Claz can't eat raw meat because humans are unable to do so. He needs it cooked, but Aurora can't use her fire, because it is magic. However, there was one creature that could use fire naturally instead of magically. Unfortunately, that is Dracus.  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
