"N-no!" Bowhan yelled, rushing towards the retreating figure. He attempted to tackle him to the ground, but his movement was easily evaded by the man, or whatever he was.
"Hah, just now you tried to kill this child, what makes you so eager to have it back?"
"Killing it was what I had in mind, but..." Bowhan paused, "I don't think I would have been able to do it even if I wanted to. It's my child..."
"That's exactly why it will be raised by me. I will teach it to hate you and all humankind, and the torture you'll face by simply knowing your child will be contributing to the death of mankind will eat away at you for your entire life."
"Then kill me now."
"No."
"Why not!"
"Haha, you're pathetic. You're known all over the world as a professional monster slayer, killing dozens of demons, dragons, and other creatures, and now you're whimpering to me that you want death. I can see taking this child from you is all ready beginning to pay off." He looked up at the moon, "Well, it will be a while still until daybreak. I have to get this child acquainted with it's new home."
Bowhan looked absolutely devastated. He didn't know what he wanted anymore. He wanted to kill the baby, but even if this man had come, would he have done it? He recalled back to when this man stopped the blow from hitting the child, and knew then with a sick sensation that he had truly almost killed his first born child. He leaned forward, and threw up.
The man in front of Bowhan walked towards the edge of the cliff Bowhan had walked up. From his back two huge wings burst, and with one final glance he looked back at the man behind him.
"Good bye Bowhan."
The child in the man's hands suddenly cried out, it's mind unable to comprehend why this man was going away from her dad. It let out a large cry as its hands reached out for Bowhan.
Bowhan cried out as well, his confusion circling around in his head. Another feeling came - regret. Suddenly, one last one came which he knew well, anger. Bowhan stood up and...
