Chapter #7

Gwen meets up with Samuel and his friends, want...

by: David Argall Author IconMail Icon
"Ah good day, miss Gwen." Samuel greets the young lady, "How are you this fine day?"
Gwen is feeling quite unhappy at the moment. She had been hoping to avoid Samuel, but now here she is, face to face with him, and with a half dozen of his toddies already cutting off her escape. This is not shaping up to be a fine day at all.
Another lass in this sort of situation might be terrified. After all, Samuel is the mayor's son, and likely to be mayor himself someday. A girl who came forth with a tale of how he raped her might expect at best a few coins to shut her up, and might get a whipping for 'spreading lies'.
Of course Gwen has to admit there is a pretty good chance she would be lying. Every man should be suspect, but with Samuel, it seems unlikely she really said no. Gwen may not be interested in him, but she is in the minority, if not unique. Samuel turns a lot of female heads and while it would be scandalous to admit one has yielded to him, Gwen suspects that of the girls her age, the others have all been intimate with him, or have not been asked.
That is possibly the opinion of most everybody else. Gwen had certainly been asked often enough how she could be so unfeeling towards Samuel. Here is this big catch following her around like a puppy, a very cute puppy in every other girl's view, and all she does is kick it.
Maybe she should stop kicking the puppy. It didn't do any good after all. Samuel always came back ready to kiss her toes, tho his aim was a bit higher, if rather low. Not for the first time she wonders if she should just let him have his way with her. She knows enough cases of boys that had left girls once she said yes. [Her mother had been horrified when she had mentioned the idea and had given her a long moral lecture on how she should be chaste and must only open to her husband, and a practical warning that once is the worst number of times, that she would grieve if he did leave her afterwards. Gwen isn't so sure of that, but the picture of her having to beg him to stay is scary, and enough to put that plan on the back burner.]
Ignoring the question of whether Samuel would try to rape her, it is most unlikely he can. Maybe with the aid of his hangers-on, he could subdue her human form, but her minotaur form... No, physical danger is not a prime concern here. She wishes it was. Minotaur blood makes her eager for violent solutions to problems. The idea of throwing Samuel, and his friends, thru a wall, or maybe just pounding them into the ground, sounds so appealing. Fortunately for Samuel, and for Gwen [Monster blood can be tolerated. A monster who gives into that blood can not.], her father's mediation training enabled her to maintain her calm manner. Not that it dealt with the frustration. Gwen will be smashing rocks for an hour once she gets back home. But at least she won't be yielding to that dangerous temptation.
"If you will please get out of my way," Gwen requests, "I have to do my shopping."

You have the following choices:

1. Samuel accompanies her

2. Samuel blocks her path

*Pen* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
