The rest of the girls get home.

Val and the other girls were driving home in her car. People were running down the side walk, away from their block, screaming.

"Wonder what happened?" Cherri thought aloud.

"Dunno," said Val, her brow raised in confusion. "it's like there's a monster around here."

Then they turned the corner, and saw a gigantic being perched over their house.

"Oh my God!" Tyra gasped. "It really is a monster!"

Val screamed and began to floor it, when Kitti shouted, "Wait! Stop!"

"WHAT?" Val sreamed back in exasperation.

"It's Brenda!"

They all looked back, and sure enough, Brenda's enormous body loomed over the neighborhood, her face contorted in confusion. Val slowly pulled the car into the driveway, and the JBs got out in shocked silence.

"Hey." was all Brenda could say. Her eyes were still wet, and it was apparent she had been sobbing.

"Brenda..." Thorne started.

"What happened?" Tyra finished, gazing in awe at the giantess.

Brenda wondered if she should tell tem about the book, and decided that...
