Stacy feels a strange tingling sensation in her hand. It almost felt like her hand had fallen asleep. She didn't think much of it at the time.
After several rings, a recording came over the phone.
"This is Jessica, I'm not available at the moment, but leave a message and I'll get back to you as soon as I can." Then came another message. "To leave a message press 1 now, to send a text message press 2...."
Stacy knew the drill and went to press 2, but she was having difficult pressing the numbers on her phone.
Stacy stops when she realizes she is having trouble dialing. Staring at her fingers, it becomes apparent that her fingers are shorter and stubbier than she remembers. As a matter of fact, her thumb appears not only to be half its normal length, but also further down her hand, towards her wrist. She tries to scream, but it comes out as a pathetic yelp.
