Matt saw the silver bracelet and he thought it would make a good gift. The pink gem shined nicely and he thought his girlfriend would like it. He saw the shop keeper walk by as he pulled him over.
"Hey sir I would like to get this one." He said pointing at it.
The shop keep smiled as he saw the young man's choice.
"Interesting choice son...Do you know the history of this bracelet?" He asked.
"Uhh...no....should I?" Matt asked back looking confused.
"There is strong Magic in this band. It was given to a young Maiden almost a thousand years ago. She was homely and poor, but pure of heart. She prayed to the moon goddess to bless her with beauty so she might escape her servants life. The goddess answered her prayer and granted her with this bracelet which granted her the beauty she desired as long as she wore it. However once she changed into the fair beauty and married a rich lord the maiden became obsessed with maintaining her beauty. She became obsessed with her new looks more and more every day until one day she know longer remembered her humble beginings. So the moon goddess placed a curse on the band changing its power to only work at night when touched by the moons light. The maiden was then forced to live her life split between beautiful and ugly always at war with herself." The shop keep said as he rung up the ring and handed it to Matt.
"Oh...wow....that's...uhh...an interesting story..." Matt said not knowing what to say. He took the bracelet and left the shop wondering if that shop keep was telling the truth or just making up stories to make his jewelry sound more interesting?
Mat soon went home as it began getting late as looked at the bracelet wondering if there was any truth to that weird story he was told.
