As Ryan led the way to the shop, he and Christina talked for a little bit.
"Hey, Ryan, listen, I'm sorry about how rude I was before when you first woke me up." Christina apologized. "The thing is, I was really worried that we had been bought by some real scumbag or someone who would exploit us, so I was pretty paranoid and jumpy before."
"Hey, it's no problem." Ryan responded, casually accepting the apology.
"Yeah... well, I'm really glad the five of us got bought by someone like you. I mean, I've only known you for a short while, but I feel like I can trust you, and I'm really grateful that you're not the type to try any funny stuff with us."
"Again, it's no problem." Ryan repeated.
After a while, the two arrived at the front of "Mr. Johnson's Shop of Strange and Wonderful Things." With Christina's rather gruesome story still ringing in his ears, Ryan couldn't help but feel an uneasy vibe that he didn't feel before when he looked at the front of the shop.
"Well, here it is." Ryan said.
"Alright then, let's go." Christina said. Her tone of voice made it clear that she was very upset.
Inside the shop, the old storekeeper turned around to face the door when he heard the telltale bells that signaled a customer arriving. He was happy at first to see that Ryan had returned (He had a few more things he was eager to sell the boy), but immediately became horrified when he saw that the young man was followed closely by one of the figurines from the shop window. She was several times the size she was when he had stuffed her in the box, and now she looked VERY angry.
"Well, hello there, my boy, how are yo... OOOH!"
Christina strode up to the storekeeper and quickly blasted him with a vicious right hand. The impact knocked him backward into some store shelves behind him, causing several items to be knocked out of place. Some even fell off their shelves and crashed onto the floor below.
"YOU ASSHOLE!!!" Christina bellowed. "WHY DID YOU THIS TO ME?!"
"Christina, calm down!" Ryan cried, blocking the life size doll's way.
"Ryan, what are you doing? Don't you remember what he did to me?"
"Yes, and I understand why you're angry, but think this through! We're not going to get any answers if we knock his block off! We ought to take it and easy and just talk to him first!"
"Honestly, Ryan, do you think we can reason with this piece of filth, huh? Do ya?"
"Yes, in fact, I do."
Christina opened her mouth to protest further, then closed it, grunted, folded her arms and shook her head.
Ryan then turned to the shopkeeper. "Look, sir, Christina told me about everything you did to her and the other four figurines you sold me. I would appreciate it if you came clean about the 'dolls' you sold me."
The old man struggled to get off the floor. Leaning against the counter to support himself, he stared at Ryan with a strange look in his eye.
