Chapter #7

Ryan's last stand

    by: T.J. Author IconMail Icon
Before Ryan's answer could be given to his question, he and Christina watched as Mr. Johnson held up his own black box, which looked virtually identical to that of Ryan's.

"Ryan...that's....", Christina stammered, grabbing hold of the boy by his shirt. "That's the same black box you have, isn't it...?"

"Why, yes it is", the old man replied. "I purposely gave you the five dolls on purpose, boy. One was to get a decent profit out of it, as no normal 15 year-oldd would stoop to such a level as to buy figurines of girls instead of look up real girls on the Internet.

And two...since I now have the money, I'll be taking these dolls back now and re-sell them again for more money!"

"That doesn't make much sense. I thought you made a decent amount of money?" a dumbfounded Ryan wondered outloud. "Your shop's been here ever since I was very little."

"Yes. Yes it has been profitable. But do you see all these other dolls and figures around you?" Mr. Johnson asked the two as they glanced around the room, noticing just how many dolls there were. Some looked like they were from thee Victorian era, others from various European and Asian countries, and some were of dolls from the 1960s. But one thing many of them had in common was that they all looked like human girls. Very few of the dolls in the shop were of animals, and while figures only took up a small portion of the shop, many were sold at high prices due to their craftsmanship.

"You see, boy? I've been doing this kind of business for over 30 years!" Mr. Johnson cackled. "And every time someone comes in, gets a doll, and comes back to me, I just take the doll, wipe that person's memory clear, and I get to keep the dolls and the money! It's perfect!"

"Except I won't allow you to do it!" Christina protested, grabbing hold of Ryan with her arms. "If you want me, you'll have to take me out of Ryan's hands first! He saved me from a life in a box, and I'm not about to go back in so soon."

"Oh, I think you will", Mr. Johnson grinned as he placed the black box on his lips. "Christina, get rid of that boy!"

"Wait! The box can do that kind of thing, too!?" Ryan asked as he saw Chrstina twitching and fidgeting, as if she was being possessed.

"W-w-what's h-h-happening!?" she asked herself as she saw herself grabbing hold of Ryan and preparing to inflict what looked like quite a bit of pain on him, her left first raised in the air.

"Christina, what are you doing!? Don't do this!!" Ryan pleaded to the woman, who was holding back tears as her fist elevated slightly higher still.

"That's it! Beat him up to a pulp! And once you're done, I'll wipe his memory clean, and you and the other girls can go safely back on the shelves until the next horny guy buys off of me. HAHAHA!!"

"Christina, please don't do it!" Ryan pleased one final time as Christina already began to beat Ryan up, punching and kicking him without any stop. "I don't want to die!!"
