As the air grew silent for the second time, you kept your eyes closed and just waited as all the sensations passed. With your eyes still closed tight, you slowly brought your hands to your face. You could feel your old facial features. But something felt, off. Your skin felt softer and smoother. Wondering what the heck had happened, you slowly opened your eyes. As you do you try and look down at your hands, only to have something block your view. As you brush it away you notice that it's long red hair like what your mother has. Upon further inspection you discovered that you were wearing her blue sundress, heeled sandals, underwear, and even her red nail polish on your fingers and toes. Now that you thought about it, you could even feel her makeup. Slowly, you pushed open the pod door and stepped out. Looking around you noticed your mother doing the exact same thing in your clothes, all magically resized to fit her perfectly. That's when it hit you that her clothes fit you perfectly as well.
"Wha, what's going on" mom asked.
"I, I don't know" you replied. "I thought that this was a body swap machine, not a clothes swapping machine"
"Well, we should probably try and change back. I don't know about you but I feel really weird right now"
"I totally agree with" you started, before getting distracted by a small explosion coming from the machine.
"NO!" Mom shouted. "No no no no no no, this can't be happening. Not now. Not while we're stuck like this"
"Well let's see if we can find dad and see if he can fix this, and us" you said.
"I guess we don't have any other choice right now" mom replied with an extremely long face.
You followed your mom out of the shed, stumbling a bit from time to time due to the heeled sandles she had put on this morning. After the short walk back to the house, you immediately went to your room to change out of your moms sundress. However, the moment you got in there and looked through what had been your clothes you realized that somehow more had changed than just what the two of you were wearing at the moment. Pulling a pair of jeans out of your closet you discovered that they also looked as though they would no longer fit you but rather your mother.
"Moooom" you called out.
"What is it Daryl" she said as she walked into your room.
"It looks like whatever happened to what we were wearing also happened to all of our clothes. These won't even fit me anymore"
"Yeah, and did you notice the family photo in the hall. It seems like somehow the machine changed our lives or something like that"
"That's ridicules" you say.
"It makes more sense than any else right now"
"I guess your right"
"Yeah, so how about this. We play along with whatever happens until we can get your father to fix that machine. In the meantime, MOM, you've got dishes that still need washing"
