Tara felt herself doing genuine double-takes between her cookbook and her body. "Bake Your Way to Power", the cover advertised in bright colors, "Recipes for the Insatiable." She glanced back at her body, at the tears in her blouse and the way her nail polish had shrunk on her fingernails. "No, it didn't shrink," she realized with certainty. "I grew..." Gaining weight from a brownie was normal, but gaining thirty pounds in the time it took to lick the chocolate from her lips was not ... much less growing taller...
She glanced back at the tray of brownies she had just sampled. A single brownie, a single serving, and her entire body had plumped up in response. But that wasn't possible, was it? She checked the brownie recipe in the book again. No fine print about somehow packing 30-pounds worth of calories in a single brownie, only the suddenly suspicious title "Giga Brownies."
Tara once again took in her body, admiring the extra padding. She had already been "super-sized big" in her own words, and an extra thirty pounds might even go unnoticed to most people in her life (although the extra height would be harder to hide. She had entered Culinary School knowing she'd want to cook her way to bliss than rely on restaurants and fast food, and in three years she had nearly tripled in weight, eating everything her courses asked her to produce.
"It'd be a shame to let them cool," she sighed, trying to coax herself into trying another. "One more, just to make sure I'm not going crazy." She practically inhaled the second brownie and looked down. The growth spurt arrived as immediately as the first one. Her breasts fattened further in her bra, pressing up and out, as her belly grew rounder and heavier. And this time she saw the floor descend away from her as she grew upward. "HOLY SHIT!" she erupted into laughter. "This can't be real." She picked up the cookbook. "There's no way." She began flipping through the pages like mad. "What else is in here??"
