Chapter #6

Anne and Cassie

by: David Argall Author IconMail Icon
One might think it to be hard to identify the other lass when the boy double dips a meal, but even if the stomach is pitch black, one feels the other girl all over with all parts of one's body in the process of being forced into the stomach. [Not to mention later when there is nothing else to do while waiting to digest.] Since Anne and Cassie have shared a belly before, it is no problem to identify each other.
Neither is pleased.

Anne is Cassie's rival for Robin's affections, to the extent Cassie can even claim his affections at all. It is all too typical that Anne was the first choice, and Cassie got the leftovers, if that.
This is one of those times when Cassie wishes she was not a good girl. The idea of something happening to Anne, after which Robin seeks comfort from her is both appealing, and obvious. But it is also obvious it might be something terrible, and that Cassie can't accept. Anne may be "stealing" her man, and doing so without trying, but she was still a friend and a nice girl. When she must choose between saving Anne and saving her own happiness, Cassie had "lost" every time, and expects to lose in the future.
She had already saved Anne's life...what... 2? 3? times. [Or maybe none. The wotch is resourceful after all, and might have gotten out of trouble without her aid. But the word is "might", and there had been at least a half-dozen times Cassie had been trying to save Anne. If it wasn't true in fact, it was more than true in spirit.] She would do so again. Maybe not without hesitation, but the end would still be the same.
At times, she likes to tell herself, it is a gift to Robin. Certainly knowing that her helping Anne gained favor in his eyes is no small thing. But in the last analysis, there are just some things one can't bring oneself to do.
None of which really changes the current situation. Wrapped all around Anne, and vice-versa, Cassie merely says "Hi Anne."

Anne's irritation is for less personal reasons. Any girl would produce much the same restrictions on her. She isn't supposed to display the powers of the Wotch that publicly. There are plenty of times it is necessary, and Cassie knows she is the Wotch. But she still should not be doing the magic in front of a witness, even a minor witch like Cassie. Still, even if she isn't sure she even wants to get out of Robin's belly anyway, it still chaffs to have to stay.
So her anger seeks a worthy target. "Hi Cassie. Was Robin abrupt with you too?"

"Well, I didn't get a chance to even start my lunch..."

"The jerk. He needs to be taught a lesson..."

Cassie listens as Anne suggests several ideas, and even offers some of her own. Even if she would run halfway cross campus just to feed herself to Robin, while everybody watched and laughed at her..., there is no denying it would be so much better if Robin would say "please" and even "thank you". The idea comes to her that maybe Anne can be persuaded to exact too much revenge, enough to make Robin leave her for a more deserving girl... But so far, no good idea comes forward.

And of course it is always hard to do much thinking when the smell of another lass is filling your face and her body is so available... In such cases, one gets physical. The question really is whether to consume Anne? Or play with Anne?
