As Kari exits the Changers realm back into her room she notices that Gatomon is awake and her D3 is missing.
"Kari what happened to you, where did you go with that Darkness kid?" Gatomon asked of her partner and friend. "Gatomon where is my D3? I left it right here before I went out." "I saw what he did to you Kari ... if any of that devices power is still in you it might effect me through the D3, I hid it just to be safe. Now where did you go and what happened to you? After all you never evade my questions like this unless somethings wrong!" "Give me my D3 and I'll explain everything I promise" Gatomon hesitated and then went to the closet and pulled out Kari's D3. Before she had a chance to turn around however Kari tackled her taking the D3 and poring the residual energy of her transformation into it and her "friend" Gatomon. "Well Gatomon do you understand what happened to me now? You watched as I was turned into something twisted and dark, and yet you have the nerve to question ME!" "Kari ... you need ... to fight this, they are ... only trying to ... use you ... to destroy ... both ... our ... worlds." "You think I don't know that pet, I did fight with everything I had, now all that's left is what Master Changer wants, and first on his list is you by my side!" Kari yelled letting her disguise slip as she put all of her twisted will in to her D3. "Now give in, Let the darkness that Myotismon found and nurtured within in you shine forth as it was always meant to!" ...
