As they enterred the cafeteria, you notice it's not an ordinary cafeteria. The room is vast, the size of
an ordinary high school gym but with a few changes. Where a scoreboard would be, a giant television is
mounted, displaying various bits of new around the screen but it is mainly occupied by a giant message: BREAKFAST #5, followed by a list of bullet points, now empty. The entire far wall is occupied by the same, large, 20-foot-wide doors similar to your side, where numerous students are enterring. The side walls are coverred by gigantic picture windows, showing a landscape of rolling meadows and various silver buildings. Odd enough, there are security guards posted at each end of the room, seemingly guarding the doors. The main feature of the room occupied most of the floor space. About twenty huge rows of tables ran perpendicular to the windows. Instead of benches, there are giant spherical chairs, similar in diameter to the doorways, filling each side of the table. A glass tube was suspended from a network of tubes in the ceiling, each ending at each place, where a large plate rested.
"Wow..," you say in amazement. "This is truly-"
"Amazing...," Yumiko interrupted. " It didn't look this big from the outside."
"I don't know what to say," you state as you eye the tables. "We should get a place before they run out."
"HA! I doubt it!," Yumiko laughs. "Anyway, we still should."
The two of you walk down to the end of the room, to the least crowded of the rows. You choose a seat near the center and grab the chair. Suprisingly, it swivels around on its own in response to your touch. "OK...weird," you mutter. The chair is covered with plush blue pillows, and as you sit down, you immediately fall backwards into them. Trying to right yourself, you hear an OOF right beside you. It seems that Yumiko tried the same thing.
"Have you ever seen something this plush,?" she exclaims.
"Vaguely, but it seemed so long ago that I can't remember."
"Yeah, it's odd. that's the same for me, but I remember it being more from when I was young."
"You're right. It is weird," you reply, finally achieving a stable position, kneeling near the edge, half envelopped by
the pillows. Yumiko eventually lies down, her head just past the edge.
"Well..," she starts.
"Well...what?," you ask.
"What do we do now?"
"Oh, I don't know," you hint sarcastically. "I'm guessing, since we're in a crazy, futuristic cafeteria, in a bizarre school in the middle of nowhere, sitting in chairs fit for giants, we should wait and do what that lady Mimoshi said."
Yumiko laughs, a light, high chuckle that puts a smile on your face as well as hers.
"Good job, Sherlock! Now, if you can find a way to get us out of hear, that would be nice!"
