"I can't afford to get bigger, what if Tails finds out? Then he'll never allow me to use inventions ever again." She sighed. "It's just not worth it." Sally arguably making the right choice, deciding it's better to shrink down to her original size.
Sally flicked the switch over to "SHRINK", pointed the ray-gun at herself and pulled the trigger.
(ZAP)
A different, green colored beam shot out of the ray-gun instead of the dark blue colored one that made Sally grow. Sally noticed she could start stretch out her legs a bit more, it seemed the shrinking feature worked. Sally's bedroom got bigger as she gradually shrank down to her normal size.
A few moments later and Sally came back down to her old 1.75 meter (5.7 ft) tall self.
"Oh well... At least I've had a blast knowing I can become big thanks to Tails. Maybe he let's me use it again in the near future." Sally looked over at the alarm clock that she knocked over. "Has it already been past 2 AM!" "I have to go to bed... oh wait... that's right I broke it." Sally facepalmed. "At least the mattress is still in good shape?"
Sally threw the broken pieces of her bed aside, grabbed her pillow and blanket and went to bed. Dreaming of all the things she could do if she became big again.
The next day arrived.
Sally went back to check on Tails so his ray-gun could be given back to him. But for some reason Tails didn't seem to be anywhere around his workshop.
"Tails?" "I've come to give your invention back?" "Tails?" "Are you there?"
Sally looked further for Tails when she stumbled across on another invention Tails made that can duplicate any object you wanted. Then Sally came up with a genius idea. "What if I duplicate his ray-gun and give Tails a copy of it?" Then he'll won't find out that I took it."
Sally walked over to the duplication machine. It was a metal table with two trays under it and an control panel on top. One the right tray was a conveniently placed label with the word 'original' placed on it. Sally puts the ray on the metal tray and closes the lid.
"Now let's see if it works." The control panel just had one big red button with 'Activate' written below and pushes it.
The machine started to make a zooming sound, showing that it was doing something at least. Then a green light lit up to inform Sally the duplication was over.
"Did it really work?" Curious what the result would be, Sally went over to the left tray, opened it and looked inside of it.
