Sean suggests she goes to his place to be exper...

Sean saw Samantha's desperate plea and he wanted to help his friend out, but since he was working there was not a lot he could do. Besides, sneaking a mermaid through the doctor's office or through the parking lot was going to be tough when security cameras and patients were at every corner. He looked down at her giant fins. "Well for now I can suggest you wait this hour out and see me tomorrow at my place. Lay under my desk for now until you're done" He pointed to the item that fortunately could hide her entire body. "I think we will need to experiment and monitor your changes until we know what's going on and come up with a solution"

"I guess you're right" replied the defeated mother as her tail flopped. "What do you think is causing this? As far as I know, my parents are both human and...and I'm not a swimmer" tears were forming at the corners of her eyes.

Sean leaned in and tried to reassure her. "Samantha, I promise I will do all I can to figure this out. This-this is strange I know but you'll have to trust me. Now let me set you on the floor. I have patients waiting" He lifted her from the bed and dragged her over to his desk. "Hold your tail still and stay quiet!" Sean left his friend hugging herself, confined in the tight space under the desk. She tried her hardest to stay still when every new patient entered and it was successful even if her fins were pushed and cramping. She felt trapped and humiliated but she felt safe knowing Sean was on her side.

An hour passes...
