Chapter #29

Panty Raid

    by: imaj Author IconMail Icon
“This has got to be the worst idea ever,” says Eva petulantly. She folds her arms defiantly under her breasts and sticks her jaw out before adding: “Sis.” It’s not really Eva, but Caleb wearing a mask. He’s wearing the cheap pink sweatsuit that you got from the thrift store and Eva’s face looks a little haggard devoid of makeup as it is.

As for you, well your clothes do not fit Jessica’s body well at all. She is both shorter than you and, well, better built would be one way to put it. Her pendulous breasts stretch the baggy old sweater you are wearing tight.

“Look at us,” you explain drumming impatiently on the steering wheel of your truck. “Have you ever seen Eva and Jessica dressed like this?” Caleb sighs in a very Eva like wake and shakes his head. “Exactly, we can’t show up at Cindy’s house dressed like this.”

“Can’t we just shop for clothes,” interrupts Caleb with a snarl.

“Keep a lid on her temper,” you reply.

“Oh this is my temper, not hers” says Caleb.

“It’s not,” you state. You relax your mind and slip into Jessica’s equally fiery persona. “And I know it’s not, because you’re like my sister and I know you.” Caleb’s face flashes red for a moment. Then he sniggers, all traces of Eva disappearing from his face. “Firstly, we don’t have any money,” you explain, letting go of Jessica’s personality. “And even if we did, it’s not just clothes we need. We need shoes, makeup, stuff for our hair. It would take all day.”

“So, your brilliant, and I use the word brilliant with protest here, plan is to walk into their house and steal what we need,” says Caleb, waving his finger about. “Genius,” he deadpans. “It’s not like we’re going to get caught or anything.”

“No it’s not,” you sigh. You tap the side of your forehead as you continue. “We know that Eva and Jessica are going to the mall today. We wait until we see them leave and we slip in then, because as far the rest of our new family know, we are Eva and Jessica. We’ll just say we forgot something if anyone asks.”

“And they aren’t going to notice their evil doubles staking out their house as they leave,” asks Caleb, mixing a little of Eva’s sarcasm into his voice.

“No,” you sigh again. “We’re on the far side of the road and fifty yards back from their house. In a truck.” You pause for a second. “Which you should know. Now you’re just looking for excuses.”

“Maybe,” admits Caleb.

“Exactly” you exclaim. You grin slyly. “Besides, we get to take a peek in some hot girls’ panty drawers. You honestly want to miss out on that action?” It’s probably more of a hook for Keith, but Caleb grins at your suggestion. His eyes sparkle as he considers the possibilities. “Thought so, now look sharp.”

“Why?”

“Because they’re getting into their car,” you explain.

Caleb shuts the Garner’s front door behind you quietly. There’s some movement at the back of the house and a woman’s voice calls out, “Who is it?” You and Caleb look at each other uncertainly. He shrugs.

“It’s, uh, us Mom,” you reply. “We forgot something.”

“Ok honey,” replies the voice. “Let me know when you are leaving again then.”

Caleb looks at you levelly. The expression looks so out of place on Eva’s face you almost burst out laughing. Instead you mouth “Told you so” to your friend. Caleb shakes his head and points up the stairs. You follow him up, letting Jessica’s memories guide you to her room. It’s a big house and Eva and Jessica have rooms of their own, Caleb makes his way wordlessly into Eva’s room leaving you to step inside Jessica’s room.

You close the door behind you and take a deep breath. There’s a light floral smell you recognise as Jessica’s favourite perfume. You gaze around drinking in the details. Of course you know what the room looks like, where everything is – you can recall the memory of it as if it were your own. It’s one thing to remember what it’s like and quite another to be standing there. So you take another deep breath and enjoy the scent, just as Jessica does.

Quickly, you strip, discarding the baggy and stretched clothes you had shoehorned Jessica’s form into earlier. You drop them into a rough pile on the floor – you can gather them up on the way out. Jessica’s underwear drawer is hanging half open, so you pull it right the way out and rummage inside.

You want to pick something older, something that won’t be missed, but at the same time you want something nice. There’s a matching pair of powder pink cotton panties and bra buried at the back of the drawer, long forgotten about. You pull on the panties first, they feel comfortably snug against the flatness of your groin. The bra cups are maybe a little tight on Jessica’s large breasts, but a quick look in the mirror shows that the bra lifts them up and pushes them together admirably.

Then it’s off into Jessica’s walk in closet to find some clothes. Clothes are crammed onto hangers, into shelves and yet more drawers. Jessica would be hard pressed to notice anything missing from here, but you err on the side of caution and select retro looking dress with long, loose sleeves. It should fall just on the decent side of mid thigh, exposing Jessica’s well toned legs. From Jessica’s memories, you know there should be a pair of brown calve length leather boot on the floor that would go well with the dress.

You haul the dress and boots out the closet and put them on, before examining yourself in the mirror: Very nice. There’s a quiet knock at the door and you hear Eva’s voice say “Jess?” Caleb opens the door carefully and looks round. “Are you finished? We need to go.”

You look at your friend. He’s selected a scandalously short denim skirt and tight fitting sleeveless white blouse, with chunky heeled sandals completing the ensemble. His make up job is a bit strong, but not out of character for Eva. “You’ve forgotten something,” you say to your friend.

He looks panicked. “What,” he asks nervously.

You sigh, effortlessly slipping into Jessica’s character. “Your bra, sis,” you explain, pointing to where Eva’s nipples are clearly pressing at the fabric of the blouse. “You don’t want Cindy to, like, think you’re some kind of slut.” Caleb’s face reddens and he mumbles something about getting it sorted. “Remember to stay in character,” you advise.

Caleb stands completely still for a few seconds, his eyes unfocused. It’s hard to describe the change, even watching it happen, but there’s a sudden subtle shift in the way he’s standing. It’s like he’s more relaxed, more comfortable and just the hint of a swagger. “Ooops, silly me. I’ll put one on,” he says, turning to leave. He stops for a moment to talk to you. “Jess. I really like that dress, you should wear it more.”

Once he’s gone, you quickly turn your attention to Jessica’s dressing table. Sitting down in front of the mirror, you skilfully apply her makeup. It’s more subtle than Caleb-as-Eva’s effort, but it’s obviously your turn to be the demure sister. You secure Jessica’s long golden hair into place with a few well placed clips before liberally dousing yourself in her favourite perfume. Inspecting yourself in the mirror, you look indistinguishable from the real Jessica.

Perfect. Deep down inside, the Will part of yourself feels a little turned on. The thin mask of Jessica’s personality, however, is simply satisfied with a job well done. You marvel at the way it hides your true feelings. You grab a shoulder bag and pick up your old clothes before leaving.

Caleb comes out of Eva’s room just as you leave Jessica’s. He flashes a warm grin at you. “You look great Jess,” he says.

“You too Eva,” you dimple in reply. “Let’s get out of here.” Caleb hooks his arm around yours and you make your way down the stairs to the front door of the Garner’s home. “We’re leaving again Mom,” you shout over your shoulders on the way out.

“I can’t believe that worked,” giggles Caleb as you sit in your truck. He’s still channelling Eva perfectly.

“Of course it worked,” you retort with Jessica tartness. “Didn’t I say it would work? You should always listen to your older sister.”

“I though I was the oldest,” pouts Caleb.

“Are you,” you ask, arching an eyebrow. “No, wait. Isn’t it Marc?”

“Who’s Marc?”

“Our brother, duh,” you deadpan before breaking down into laughter. Caleb joins in. “I know, I sometimes forget about him too.”

“You know,” says Caleb quietly after the laughter subsides. “We don’t need to go to Cindy’s straight away. We could just, you know, have a day together as sisters.”

It’s a tempting offer. Submerged in their personalities, you get along much better as Eva and Jessica than you do with the snarking brittleness of your friendship as Will and Caleb. It’d be fun, relaxing and as long as you steer clear of the mall where the real girls are, risk free.

But you’ve got that date with Cassie tonight too. You need to get a mask of Lucy quickly so you can meet her on time. Cassie’s a real girl, and real girls are worth more, right?
