As Haruhi was allowed to settle down, running her hands over her forehead to come to terms with whatever, if anything, had gone on, Kyon noticed something about Haruhi's face that made him do a double take. He didn't know what was wrong at first, but, after a few seconds, realized it.

Haruhi's face was rounder.

There was nothing else out of place at the moment, just that her usual heart shaped face was a tad padded. It must be stated that this in no way demolished her beauty, just altered it. Had it always been that round and maybe he was just unobservant? It was certainly an oddity that Kyon did not understand, even now. He scratched his head in confusion before shrugging. Of all the strange mysteries surrounding Haruhi, the enigma of her round face was the least of his worries. for all he knew, Haruhi wanted her face to be round and had just reshaped reality to make it that way.

He turned toward Yuki, and...
