"Ah, what a nice nap." Cheryl said, waking up from underneath a pine tree. She blew at a tuft of green hair that had escaped from the long braid down her back and smiled.
"Time really does seem to stand still here." the green-clad trainer said. "I don't know why, it's such a hassle getting through, but I do love it here. Wouldn't you agree, Chansey?"
"Chansey!" the egg-shaped pokemon replied, also reclining against the trunk of the tree. Cheryl gave a little laugh at the blissful look on her pokemon's face. Once and a while, trainers did come through, and Cheryl knew the forest well enough that she often helped them out (getting some help in return from the masses of bug pokemon and the like that tended to swarm deeper in the forest) but most of the time Eterna forest was a slow-paced, calming little patch of woods that suited Cheryl just fine. It rarely rained, and she was the kind of person who appreciated nature. Wild food as well, as she and her Chansey often made off quite well on berries and honey and the like, though Cheryl would pop into town for a guilty run to a real restaurant or diner on occasion.
In fact, on the subject of diet, Cheryl's had left her....
