Tim asked, âYou said Ken already used the medallion right? What or who did he become?â
Miranda was just about to point out the window when the back door opened up. A 7 year old girl wearing a pink one-piece swimsuit came in. Miranda quickly scolded her, âAnnabelle! You are dripping wet! You know the rules! Get a towel!â
Annabelle replied, âRelax honey. Iâm just grabbing some juice boxes for the girls. Iâll just be a second.â
Miranda looked at Annabelle with an unimpressed glare and whispered, âReally?....You just called me honey!...Be careful! Somebody might hear you!â
Annabelle looked over her shoulder to make sure nobody else could hear and whispered, âOh yea. Sorry about that. I should stay in character!â Annabelle then talked loudly in case anybody could hear and gave a big smile, âCan us girls please have some juice AUNT Miranda?â
Miranda nodded in approval, âThatâs more like it Annabelle!â
Annabelle laughed and then noticed Tim. Annabelleâs eyes lit up, âWhoa! I didnât see you there! Hiya Timmy boy! Itâs about time you made it!â
Tim cracked a grin. The only person who ever called him Timmy boy was Ken. Tim whispered, âOMG? Ken? Is that really you?â
Ken nodded, âYep! I couldnât let Allison have a birthday party without her favorite cousins showing up.â
Tim couldnât help but giggle and said, âWow Ken! I canât believe thatâs really you! How are you holding up?â
Ken replied, âIâm great! Itâs a kick being a kid again! Itâs been exciting to hang out with Allison as a friend for once instead of her embarrassing Dad. Trust me! You are going to enjoy it too! You will get to see what your daughter Jillian is really like to hang out with.â
Tim got a nervous look, âWait a second? You mean Iâm becoming a kid too?â
Ken then put his hands on his hips and giggled, âOf course you are. And you better hurry up and use the medallion! Allison is starting to wonder why Annabelleâs little sister Ava isnât here yet. They supposedly flew in on the same flightâŚ.Luckily they mailed all their clothes a few weeks ago so they didnât have to carry them on the plane. âAvaâsâ suitcase is in the spare bedroom.â
Tim asked, âWait a second. Did you say little sister? How old is Ava?â
Ken replied with a wink, âRelax! Itâs going to be fun! I better get back with the other girls! Hurry up and put a swimsuit on and meet us out back in the pool!â
Ken took the medallion and went into the spare bedroom. He found Avaâs suitcase and opened it up. He looked at the array of clothing sized for a little girl and couldnât believe he was about to be younger than his own daughter. He knew it was an important job and would help save the almost disastrous birthday party.
Ken felt his body change and moments later he was Ava. He looked in the mirror to see a curly haired ________year old girl staring back.
