It was a seemingly standard night for Gotham City’s Batgirl, one Stephanie Brown. She was running along a rooftop when she spotted a gang breaking into S.T.A.R. Labs. She grappled over to the rooftop, watching them through a window.
“Easy boys, we just have to get that dwarf star tech Dr. Palmer was messing with, and Intergang will have to let us in” one of the robbers said.
“Can’t let that happen” thought Stephanie, expanding her staff as she dropped in. “Didn't anyone tell you size isn’t everything?”
The men panicked, and she easily beat them down. She failed to notice one grab the dwarf star element, aiming it at her with a sci-fi looking ray.
“Let’s see how you like being an itty-bitty Batgirl!!” He said, firing it at her. The ray blasted her, and the men were shocked to see she wasn’t shrinking, but growing!
She shot up to 50ft tall, bursting through the ceiling of the lab, and continued growing until she was 80ft tall. She stood there in shock at what happened, before turning her attention back to the robbers.
