Perry's day

Perry stretched and felt his muscles tense and warm. Looking down, he could still see the tips of his toes - though his feet had been steadily disappearing below his belly as it grew. Life was good! As he slipped on some shorts and a new, more generous t-shirt, he looked forward to Amanda's arrival. They were going out for breakfast, a special treat for this final Saturday morning in August before school started again, and Perry's stomach felt achingly empty.
