Chapter #6Keep as a pet by: Unknown Uh, man. What did I just say? What am I doing? Something doesn't feel right.
She gently plucked the boy out from between her boobs and placed him in her open palm. He gave her a week smile, but Rebecca could almost feel him shaking in spite of his size.
"Sorry Noah, I'm feeling kind of weird. The past few minutes I've felt weird... I don't feel myself."
"Y-yeah, I mean that makes sense all things considered."
Rebecca chuckled. This kid's smart for his age. She scanned the horizon for whatever made her grow, but she saw nothing. She looked to the left and right of her and saw only a few stragglers running from the beach. She let out a long sigh. Then in an attempt to take her mind off of her terrible current circumstances, she looked back at the orphan boy in the middle of her palm.
He looked like some kind of emo anime character with his slightly too long black hair, a lot of it covering his eyes. Almost instinctively, Rebecca reached out one, pink-nailed finger and brushed the hair out of his face. Noah flinched at first, but then started to lean into her finger after she had finished, like a dog wanting to get rubbed. How much attention could an orphan possibly get? Maybe he had people taking care of him, but how many people actually showed him affection? A smile escaped her lips as Noah continued to rub against her finger. It was so cute and tragic that she had to hold back tears. She began to run her finger through his hair and brought him closer to her face. He seemed to be shaking less.
"So what's an orphan doing on the beach this time of day?"
"I ran away," he replied. "I didn't know where else to go, but I couldn't go back to that orphanage."
"Was it really that bad?"
Noah looked away. "I don't want to talk about it."
Rebecca ran her finger down his back, attempting to comfort him. She wanted to give him the biggest hug that she could, but that would probably crush him.
"So you ran away from an orphanage, towards the beach, and towards a girl who is now suddenly the size of a small building. Didn't anybody warn you about strangers? Aren't you scared of me?"
"Yeah, I'm a little scared. But in all the fairy tales, the girl giants are always the nice ones."
"Well Noah, I'm Rebecca. I guess I'm one of the nice giants now."
Noah looked up at Rebecca.
"Can I stay with you?"
"I don't know what I'm gonna do now, but for the time being you definitely can," Rebecca's grin grew, "I've always wanted a little pet."
"YAAAAAY! I'VE GOT A BIG SISTER!" Noah yelled out as he suddenly got up, ran to the edge of Rebecca's palm, and jumped onto the bridge of her nose, bear hugging it. Rebecca was completely caught off-guard, but adjusted her hand to pin him to her nose and hold back her hysterical laughter. She stuck her left hand back to catch herself from falling backward.
Suddenly she heard a loud crashing sound not too far behind her, on her right side. A trash can had been knocked over by someone. indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
