This choice: Chie's cell phone rings! • Go Back...Chapter #5The Caller by: Vfan   Chie leaped up and shook her head. "Geez, getting jumpy girl..."
She looked at the number, never seen it before."Hello?
"9, 23, 1, 14, 20, 25, 15, 16, 6, 1, 20" A voice said.
"W-what? Hey who is this? Yosuke is this some kind of joke!?" Chie said as the power went out.
"9, 23, 1, 14, 20, 25, 15, 16, 6, 1, 20" The voice repeated a bolt of lightning and Chie saw the figure of a man's shadow turning around she screamed.
"CHIE!" Her mother came in as the power came back.
"There was someone outside the window!" Chie said scared.
She looked outside. "I don't see anyone."
"I WASN'T LYING MOM!" Chie said.
"Chie, it's okay. I'll call the police in the morning. Just get some sleep, and lock your windows and door to be safe." Chie nodded and decided she wanted to go to bed, no more excitement for her.
The next morning Chie skipped breakfast, as her mom explained things to the cop. Chie told her mom she wanted to be with her friends to calm down. At Junes. "She said there was no one their, but I clearly saw a figure when the lightning bolt struck."
"So someone called you right outside your window?" Rise said.
"Yeah, it was like some creepy horror movie." Chie said.
Naoto was writing something down. "So these numbers, are you sure you got them right?"
"Yeah...after what happened they were I dunno, burned in. Guess I was so worried that if I forgot I'd die or something." Chie said, she was picking at her steak.
"No wonder you sounded so spooked. But the question is why?" Yosuke asked himself and the group.
"Well, if it's some punk that wants to pick a fight, we're here for you senpai." Kanji replied.
"Thanks guys." Chie said.
"Chie if it'll make you feel safer why not come over to my place?" Yukiko
"Yeah, that would make me feel a lot better."
"Okay, so here's the plan, me and Rise will go inside the TV later, there's a sale today but will be over around dinner time, we'll ask Teddie if something is up on his end. Kanji you stay at the inn too, if the crook breaks in you'll be there as an added line of defense. Naoto-kun you figure out what those numbers mean." They all nodded.
At the Inn. "Thanks Yukiko, I feel a bit safer."
"No problem Chie." Yukiko said.
The sale at Junes has ended, Rise and Yosuke head inside, meanwhile Kanji stays on Standby and sits watching some television, a movie catches his eye and he picks up his cellphone. On the other end of this call was Naoto. "Hello?"
"Hey Naoto, look I know this isn't the time, but there's this spy movie on, and well I know how you like Spy movies..." Kanji said.
Naoto sighed. "Well I do need to ease my mind, I can't seem to figure this combination of numbers out."
Naoto tuned in on the movie. "So he hid the code by having letters instead of numbers, tricky bastard."
"Numbers and Leters? THAT'S IT! Kanji, thanks! You've just helped me figure this out!" Naoto said hanging up on a surprised and confused Kanji.
Naoto wrote out the numbers on a larger paper and replaced the numbers with corresponding letters (now for those questioning how this would work given Japan's lettering style, let's pretend it's translated for us =D ) "Oh god..."
I W A N T Y O U F A T, that's what the message said. In the TV world Yosuke and Rise saw that the place was no longer it's paradise, Chie was heading into the bathroom to wash up for dinner. "GOT TO CALL CHIE!"
Chie's cellphone was in her jacket which she took off to go wash up. "Damn it!"
Inside the darkness of the unlit bathroom was a figure moving about, Chie slowly opened the door. "Yukiko-senpai please pick up!"
Yukiko's phone begins to ring, time was now of the greatest essence, Yukiko was the closest one to Chie to warn her of this threat.   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
