You watched as Thomas dropped his speedo, turning to sit on the toilet. He was stationary, a perfect time to get his attention. You could climb in his speedo. He would (probably) see you when he pulled it back up. However that also left the chance of being unnoticed and being trapped against some genitals bigger than you. On the other foot hand, you could take your chance with his feet. They were flat on the floor for easy access. Plus if you didn't get Thomas' attention, you would have time to get out of the way when he stood up.
